Where hate and war prevail the crisis deepens
Until there is an unequivocal repudiation of the warfare culture there will be no peace, and no clear path for America to re-invent itself and re-capture its former greatness.

Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy is making some big waves in the coming US presidential race. He is highly articulate, highly intelligent with a mind as sharp as a tack and has done his home work. He is the most progressive and dynamic voice to come out of the Republican camp for a long time.
His stellar presence though is blemished by his hate China fetish which is the universal benchmark of Western politics. Anything that resembles a rational objective approach to China is considered a traitorous heresy when it is essential to world peace and reconciliation. America is determined to have its war with China, even though there are critics pointing out the USA no longer has the ability to carry out a major war against a foreign power. Given the lingering fiasco of Ukraine created by NATO you would think some reason and reconciliation might be in the air; but the crazy brinkmanship prevails.
China continues as the scapegoat for everything wrong with America which in reality lies within its own borders. It is a self-entrapped over-committed warfare state that must develop a whole new mindset freeing itself from the burden of eternal war and the destruction of its homeland.
Ramaswamy has many great ideas but they can only be implemented where there is peace, equilibrium and a vigorous determination to pursuing them beyond just more political window dressing.
Hate is the hallmark of American foreign policy. It is never a worthy undertaking and a ruse to trick the country into endless wars . Hate is the breeding ground of xenophobia, racism, bigotry and jingoism all at the same time. It also provides the odious pretext for endless wars against concocted enemies feeding the insatiable greed of the Military Industrial Congressional Complex (MICC) which runs the US government.
It never occurs to the wizards of Washington the hate and violence they project on to the world poisons and debilitates its own culture. What we do is what we become.
Ramaswamy sees the woke movement as a Chinese conspiracy to weaken America which mars his platform. The woke movement is the end result of social disintegration where societies turn inward and fracture themselves as values and institutions decay and infighting prevails. Wokism is the chaos of societal decline.
If we want to trace the sources of the woke movement all we have to do is look at ideologies like neoliberalism, imperialism, and neocolonialism which suck the life blood out of societies. America and other Western societies are suffering the consequences of badly chosen ideologies left to eat away at our societal pillars, accelerated by our walking from democracy, courting endless corruptions, and abandoning values that must be cherished.
When British prime minister Margaret Thatcher declared “there is no such thing as societies”— this was the neoliberal war cry for destroying Western societies and now we seen the end result 30 years later.
Western political elites are trapped in a calamity of their own making, and theirs alone. They are bought and paid for serving their corporate masters, having betrayed 13% of the world’s population they are supposed to serve.
As it is, America’s political elites and presidential candidates are only capable of equivocation and fetishizing on the issue of war. America’s war on the world started 75 years ago with the Dulles brothers. Until there is an unequivocal repudiation of the warfare culture there will be no peace and no clear path for America to re-invent itself and re-capture its former greatness.
Now the long road back faces them and they are paralytic and addled. There must be a great leap forward and the first steps forward, are peace, contrition and reconciliation. More war is a tacky death wish.
