Americans must declare War on War!
"Warfare is only an invention, not a biological necessity"-Margaret Mead
Life has many dangers. Some we know. The ones we don’t know, can be the most threatening.
I have been a spectator to war all my life from a very early age. I have been fortunate to live in a peaceful secure society where I have had a front row seat to war but untouched by them.
None of this I take for granted as my aging state of consciousness is receiving ominous signals from history and the ever present world we now live in. As Bob Dylan told us a long time ago “the times they are a changin’… of course, he was just an another songster singin’ for his supper, but he was a prophet and there was great change going on none of us knew anything about because it was secreted; but even then history was in the witness box on our behalf and since then has provided us incriminating testimony of those times.
History is shat on in our times as it is all about inconvenient truths revealing the reassuring lies we are constantly told and expected to live by. For war mongers history must be slandered out of existence for them to implement agendas of pure evil, as ignorance is the best friend of pure evil.
Our self-denigrating societies and the elites that control them have very powerful tools to control the narrative. Shutting down freedom of press is one of the most powerful.
We have recreated the Tower of Babel where every body talks, nobody hears or listens and the voices we should be listening to are drowned out.
Have cell phones become the “chip in our brain” that prevents true cognition. The war mongers also declare war on us as the they want to destroy our cognition and implant the herd instinct , where they lead, and we blindly follow. Weapons of mass distraction to promote war are as deadly as the weapons of war.
Is the epitaph for Earth going to be“Death by Mass Distraction, RIP”?

Why is America in crisis? It has been dominated by false prophets for too long. Its rich legacy of true prophets have been pushed aside and yes even assassinated to pave the way for the new warfare state that emerged in the aftermath of WW ll. The culture of European wars, including fascism, simply packed its bags and moved Westward Ho!
Even today this rich legacy exists but has been pushed to margins. America has its share of the world’s best thinkers and prophets but they are kept distant from the mainstream where they should have a commanding presence. Their marginalization is a measure of how humanist and constitutional values have been crushed.
There are so many voices from the past that should be heard and aren’t because we like to live in, and are compelled to embrace the “invincible present“ that is far from invincible as the past, present, and future are not mere time lines, they are a matrix of our own construction that must have an enduring sway. Despots, tyrants and propagandists destroy the continuity and context of history to facilitate their treasons.
Where we do not see historical context our existence is bastardized.
Mead and Kennan, two true prophets
Margaret Mead and George Kennan agreed on one of the great truths of our time. Both advised that to constantly prepare for war—militarism— would inevitably lead to more and greater wars. An emerging truth in their times, is a conclusive truth today. The world is armed to the teeth, we are in our third world war ( all originating in the West) in just over a hundred years where peace is only a brief intermission between wars, and political elites, bought and paid for, are the cheerleaders for war.
Kennan was a man of wisdom and foresight and so much of what he said and thought was a foreshadowing of things to come and where we are today.
We may scorn the idea of history as prophecy but it is here for all to see. Analysts like Keenan know the cycles of history, the rise and fall of empires , and the fallibility of Mankind. Just as Archeologists dig the past out of the ground, historians dig in libraries and archives. Our fallibility becomes more predictable.
Margaret Mead states in her 1940 essay, "Warfare is only an invention, not a biological necessity"—
For this, two conditions at least are necessary. The people must recognize the defects of the old inven- tion, and someone must make a new one. Propa- ganda against warfare, documentation of its terrible cost in human suffering and social waste, these prepare the ground by teaching people to feel that warfare is a defective social institution. There is fur- ther needed a belief that social invention is possible and the invention of new methods which will render warfare as outdated as the tractor is making the plow, or the motor car the horse and buggy. A form of behavior becomes outdated only when some- thing else takes its place, and in order to invent forms of behavior which will make war obsolete, it is a first requirement to believe that an invention is possible. A brief paraphrase from where I sit is that you have to take out the garbage before you start something new; at the same time believing something new and better can be created ("social invention") with the strength and conviction to get the job done. Since her time it appears we have given up on social invention in the collective West as we have let our democracies lapse, adopted too many ruinous ideologies, let vested interests take control our societies, fought too many wars, and walked from humanist values in preference to pure unadulterated Philistinism. Our alleged enemies have shown that social invention is alive and well and we are jealous as hell of their success while we wallow in the blood of war and its ill-gotten gains. There has been talk of Building Back Better (BBB) and Making America Great Again (MEGA). So when is this going to happen-- after the nuclear holocaust, after we have lost the war on climate change? Western dummkopf elites fail to consider the longer they wage war the more challenging any social invention becomes, they appear hell bent on social destruction. Just today America's triple A credit rating has been downgraded, amid howls of protest from US government officials. It seems the costs of war are catching up to financial realities, even as NATO contemplates escalating the war by opening a Polish front and has abandoned Ukraine to prepare its war in the Pacific against China. It is time to cut through the clutter, no more bullshit, no more lies. War is the ultimate fascism, paralyzing our societies. There will be no progress on anything until we have the equilibrium of peace and civility. Peace is the essential prerequisite for pursuing social invention, assuming we are still capable of it? As Mead suggests we must recognize "warfare as a defective social institution". Our prophets from the past leave us in the dust. We have yet to learn what they tried to pass on to us decades ago. The collective West is goose steeping itself back to feudal times while the rest of the world moves on. What is the great danger we don't see and don't want to see?- We have become so accustomed to war we accept it like the wall paper in our living rooms. We have let war define our existence and this is the complete denigration of our humanity and an repugnant legacy for future generations. "Hurry up, please, its time"-- T.S. Eliot, The Wasteland, 1922

Long before America can declare 'war on war'...Americans' inborn penchant for violence needs to be eradicated. And I don't see this happening any time soon...Alas.
