I tried to teach the pigs to sing. I really did. I spent quite a bit of time and energy doing it. Theoretically it should have worked but I should have listened to Robert Heinlein who said “never try to teach a pig to sing, it’s a waste of time and it annoys the pig”.
I hope we tread carefully, enough to transition to a better place. The end of empire? Things could be so much better than what we have. Planetary destruction? Not so much.
