When Prophecy becomes Actuality, Reconciliation must follow
The great undoing is just another cycle of history... with evil so banal and Humankind so predictable.
To know history is to know the future, the actuality —the here and now details the west’s atrocities.
The west has retreated into a barbarism self- destructive to its self and the world community. It is desperately attempting to impose war on a world that wants peace, the rule of law and decency. The west is playing an unconscionable game of brinkmanship and is clearly its own worst enemy.
I happen to be born into a generation where I have been a spectator to war from day one. My earliest recollection of war was listening to radio reports on the Korean War. Then came the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Then came the Vietnam war and everything since as the promise of better futures faded fast.
Those early events in my life lacked context and understanding as I was busy being young and innocent. But of course as we grow older our engagement of the world increases rapidly, becoming more and more complex and imponderable. We all have to make decisions on how we completely we embrace the world around us. Does the world stop at the white picket fence or do we venture further?
I was lured outside the white picket fence as I have an insatiable curiosity as to how how things work, what’s around the corner, and why things happen.
Aging is a gradual transition from having future prospects to moving into retrospection where the future shrinks and the past becomes larger with more clarity. We go from facing a daunting future wondering asking ourselves where will we be in five or ten years, to looking back at the years and decades spent. Suddenly the past looms large and we realize how prophetic life has been.
We think of prophecy as some magician’s sleight of hand, as the utterances of grey beards suffering from overthinking, slaves to their fastidiousness. They are though the historians, academics, philosophers and brainiacs who have studied the crime scenes of history, the human behaviors and folly and drawn their conclusions for our benefit.
The question then arises how do we determine who are the false prophets the true prophets? Who are the fakers and the frauds; the despots loitering waiting to steal center stage.
We are seeing a pandemic of false prophets who have revealed themselves in so many ways. They claim to be an over class in all their brittle arrogance when they reveal themselves to be a reviled underclass, desperate, stupefied inflicting the terror of their own incompetencies on the world. Their arrogance is their fear of being discovered, exposed as the barbaric fraudsters they are.
All my adult life there has been back ground talk, noise and speculation, as to the rise and fall of the American empire and its cagey existence, its looming presence so willfully unseen. Its collapse was relegated to some future time. But then as so often happens the inevitable arrives when least expected. Empires do not age well becoming jaded and sloppy, stepping on trip wires of their own making. Now the actuality of collapse is here and now. We are seeing the grim costs of empire and the social decline and lawlessness imposed on societies betrayed.
We are seeing the accumulation pure evil over many decades, the collapse of an empire sodden in evil and corruption in its dying rage.
History tells us again and again the seeds of destruction are sown at the moment of an empire’s inception — after all they are managed by flawed beings pursuing evil intentions.
History is all about prophecy as it is our collective autobiography reaching far back in time and so predictive of our every move. It is fully loaded with harbingers, the warnings so conspicuous and so easily ignored.
It goes unheard, spoken, unread as the hollow men dance around the prickly pear in their hopeless follies and insane conceits.
The war mongers are the greatest the fools of all time. They play their dead hands from olden times against history-the Joker-who knows them better than they know themselves, and holds all the aces.
Reconciliation is restoring harmony between two opposing factions. In these times the political underclass is its own worst enemy, and ours. Their lawlessness is the true enemy of western civilization. No scapegoating allowed.
When the prophecy of history becomes actuality, reconciliation must follow.
I tried to teach the pigs to sing. I really did. I spent quite a bit of time and energy doing it. Theoretically it should have worked but I should have listened to Robert Heinlein who said “never try to teach a pig to sing, it’s a waste of time and it annoys the pig”.
Exxellent reflection on this situation
