The mangled wolf at the door of the West

When the wolf tries to be the sheep and dies trying.

Many years ago when I started blogging I never dreamt I would be writing the content I am now. There has never been a shortage of evil in the world but now I am hearing and reading the term “pure evil” on a regular basis, no morality, no mercy and a total disregard for consequences — life, limb, and property.

Its magnitude is now amplified many times over as the world is much more integrated and populated. When evil happens the collateral damage human and otherwise is that much greater.

There is too much power and money in the West in too few hands, where truth and integrity are mere commodities bought and sold. Too much power and money is a breeding ground for false prophets and self-ordained messiahs who assume the right to rule the world, when they are nothing more than over-inflated robber barons of the 19th Century. Everything old is new again!

The robber barons have very long tentacles- then and now

Where wars were once fought between tribes, countries and continental, they are now truly global with global consequences. Now they are fought for corporate profits with ideologues and turncoat political accomplices. Pure evil is the revanchist business and political pandemic of Western.

As Roman Emperor Caligula stated “Oderint dum metuant."—Let them hate me, as long as they fear me”. Caligula knew well that to practice pure evil inspired hate and counted on fear as his staunch ally. Not much has changed as there are hosts of Caligulas and a bonanza of fearful western populations, being reduced to feudal cultures. He is a role model for the elites of today as they are doing their best to replicate the fall of Rome.

Pure evil becomes deeply rooted in societies where there is no accountability and juris prudence is destroyed. For the last half century Western Civilization and the world have been dominated by a rogue super power free to act with impunity to perpetrate its dream of global primacy which also encompasses the threat of global fascism. It makes its own laws— “the rules based order “— makes and breaks treaties as it sees fit, with interventions, military and economic, where to its advantage. Most of its existence it has been at war somewhere in the world.

Pure evil left unaccountable, unchallenged, creates its own realities enslaving its perpetrators, to their ruinous ideology and flawed perceptions of a world that never was and never will be theirs. To viciously covet what others own and have a right to is the essence of their criminality.

Their pure evil is propelled by a profound and delusional ethnocentrism where they ordain themselves as rulers of the world, with a resume steeped in blood and ill-gotten gains.

One of the first things I learned as a blogger is that the very issues we should be addressing as societies are pushed out of existence by wicked political agendas. The gap between what we should be doing and are doing is a chasm that just gets wider deeper with each passing day.

I grew up in the post war era where optimism prevailed as the greatest war ever fought was behind us. Peace was on the agenda; but even then we were back fighting wars and dark clouds were gathering on the horizon. As the final days of the 20th Century lapsed into a growing tyranny there was the promise of a bold new century. For the East it is the bold new century seized as an opportunity to renew and prosper as societies.

For the West it continued its decline into despotism, blatant corruptions, and pure evil. Trying to play the sheep when the blood just doesn’t wash out.

Pretending to be the sheep becomes the theater of the absurd.

The tools of pure evil are powerful ideologies exploitive and extractive. They operate within our societies artfully secreted and ignored. Populations are regarded as “feedlots” where we live on controlled diets of lies and misinformation and diminishing rights and mobilities. We are “herded” by the ruinous ideologies of war, imperialism, neoliberalism and colonization, among others. The ideology of democracy is ground into the dirt.

For the practitioners of pure evil there is no rationality or morality. They are furious infants determined to have their way, revanchists trying to claim what was never theirs, with war and violence as their calling card.

As their despotism deepens and becomes more transparent: arrogance and desperation are the telltale signs. Connivance becomes pathetic and the hubris palpable.

War is anarchy where civility and progress are frozen in time and futures foreclosed.

For the West the wolf is at the door, bloodied and mangled, protesting its innocence, while the mulitipolar world inevitably emerges.
