When liberal democracy collapses politics becomes a circus of lies and bloody wars.
Barbaric Western civilization has become a blight on Humankind and its own worst enemy. There are no threats to its pseudo-paranoiac national insecurity; only those who flee as refugees insisting on not being casualties of its self-immolation.

The incineration of democratic politics in North America is complete as both Canada and the USA are populated with woebegone “useful idiots. Seventeen years ago the late Tony Judt, a distinguished American historian wrote his famous essay Bush’s Useful Idiots, on the Strange Death of Liberal America, 18 · 21 September 2006 . Judt as the historian turned mortician gives a full accounting of how Liberalism and democracy died in America and colonial Canada. Judt was not alone as there were others like Chris Hedges who also performed his own rigorous autopsy.
We like to think things just happen. They don’t! The disease can be terminal long before surgeons makes their first cut.
Liberalism died in North America for the Democratic party, and also in Canada where our Liberal party is a clone of the Democrats. When Hillary Clinton or Joe Biden show up in Ottawa it is an exaltation of the emperors. Hand clapping is considered responsible government, even when former Nazi SS members slip into the gallery and tributes are paid.
While the empire wages war and genocide abroad, the colony is a school yard scrap between two sophomoric politico’s, one trying to bully the other out of office so he can take over the perks of power and deliver more homage to the dying empire, carte blanche as usual.
The empire is printing endless cash it doesn’t have to finance criminal warfare, while the colony is quibbling over carbon taxes and other trivia. War leaves behind a trail of blood and a very big carbon foot print. It never occurs to these “useful idiots” they have a moral obligation to speak for peace and civility as war cannibalizes their own countries and threatens future generations. Governments, and liberals used to be somewhat responsible.
In too many ways NOW is a sequel to WW ll and a stellar display of juvenile delinquency.
It is a sad day when politics in North America becomes a circus of lies, a propaganda ghetto where everything is weaponized(including the law), free speech is squelched, and we are told what to believe. There is desperation every where as the quislings try to cover their bloody tracks, and so called political elites become the dregs of society.
Hubris is desperation on steroids, and fear on the fast track to collapse.
The above C ZERO article is typical of how the Democrats and their whoresome journalist lackey’s operate— trash Trump at every opportunity, up to and including weaponizing the legal system to put him in jail. Even so Trump might win from behind bars as he is emerging as the surefire Republican candidate and his voter base is still there. Biden’s base is eroding rapidly as both Muslims and Jews are offended by his wantonly reckless Middle East policy of endless war.
The discombobulated Democrats still don’t realize the big reason Trump won in 2017— he did so, largely because he was not Hillary Clinton. Americans wanted an alternative and he was it. Now he is poised to beat Biden for the same reason. Both Clinton and Biden stand out as tarnished goods and exemplify the Democratic party’s mortification and inability to put forward credible candidates, just as the party is no longer credible, it mocks its own existence— (as does the Liberal party in Canada).

The author has conveniently forgotten the term “manifest destiny” and the millions of peoples around the world who have died and suffered accordingly.
As propagandists do, they burn whole book shelves of history to foment more wars more killing, more immoral behaviors, while promoting sick ideologies. MSM Journalism in the West has also become a chapter of Judt’s “useful idiots”.
The biggest threat to democracies is that they devolve into autocracies where the bureaucrats and political parties too easily become totalitarian. They are corrupted by the power they wield forgetting their reason for being, and insensate to societies’ best interests. They become focused on the manipulations of power rather than political power as a force for social progress.
Biden the politician, and Blinken the bureaucrat, suffer accordingly as they have been in the dark halls of power for too long where catering to vested interests and ruinous ideologues become counterfeit substitutes for responsible and progressive government, where political and career survival become obsessive. They do not see the world beyond their office doors, becoming drones to the power brokers who own them.
They are the two people that could have put the brakes on the Gaza genocide, instead they endorsed it and become apologists for it. They have done critical damage to any notion they can be honest brokers on the world stage at a time when it needs leaders of integrity and vision.
The world needs a steady supply of “rational actors” to deal with the critical challenges we face. Wars, Militarism and fascism are not part of the formula.
Biden’s judgement is especially appalling as he is sowing deep divisions in the US electorate as he prepares to run for a second term.
Their actions verify what American political scientist John Mearsheimer stated recently; “the rules based order” is gone , and social democracy is “shattered”.
They are not apostles of liberalism, but neoliberalism, the stealth ideology that took over from liberalism in the 1980’s, where corporate power dominates over governments; where a stated goal of neoliberalism is the denigration of governments and the ensuing marginalization of the public interest. If there is apathy and indifference on the part of the public, it is because we know the disenfranchisement is replete and we are sheep in the penstock— the idled spectators under the whip of treasonous elites. Western elites are contemptuous of the public they are supposed to serve with peace order and good government; instead we are fed a steady a diet of despotism on steroids.
We may wonder why we slide into war and violence so easily. It is because all wars, dating back to WW ll, are now corporate wars dictated by the needs of corporate expansion and global dominance of corporate power, which is in turn fascism. War no longer requires a national legislature’s stamp of approval, word comes down from head office.
The credibility gap becomes craterous, the crisis deepens, and redemption more elusive.
The Biden-Blinken horror show is now over. They can only commit so many unforced atrocities as they become Judt’s “useful idiots” with great distinction.
America no longer comes first, the parasitic corporations and war profiteers that feed off of it do.
