The World's pitiful state of apprehended insurrection
Apprehended" means that one has become aware of, has perceived or anticipates something. "Insurrection" connotes a rising up against the civil or political authority of the country.-- Google
We must be very clear the present world crisis is of Western origins. It only speaks for 12% of the world’s population and is desperately trying to establish global domination from a minority position using illegitimate ideologies ranging from reckless militarism, to imperialism and neoliberalism.
“The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind.”
― William Blake, The Marriage of Heaven and Hell
Every Night and every Morn
Some to Misery are born.
Every Morn and every Night
Some are born to Sweet Delight,
Some are born to Endless Night.”
― William Blake
“If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, Infinite. For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things thro' narrow chinks of his cavern.”
― William Blake, The Marriage of Heaven and Hell
In response to US president Joe Biden’s admonition that Russia must be ‘put down”, Russian President Vladimir Putin responded….
“You live, you learn. One must learn, and then there won’t be a desire to ‘put down’ anyone, since that leads to problems. One needs to learn to respect others and seek compromise,” Putin said in Beijing, where he is attending the international Belt and Road Forum.
The birthing of the new world order is a difficult one. While the East pursues, peace prosperity and security; the West is enslaved to warfare, political corruption and failed democracies.
I ask myself some pretty fundamental questions these days. In times of crisis we must ask ourselves many questions as well as questioning the actions of others, especially those in charge of our future well-being and that of coming generations. Given the present crisis there numerous piggish attitudes and ideologies that must be eradicated if we are to move on to a better world.
Only one of the imminent dangers facing us is: Are we willing to accept the present status quo as an immutable state of being? There are monolithic powers trying to change the world to their liking for totally selfish and despotic agendas. In the face of such overwhelming power it is easy to retreat into passivity and resignation.
The first thing we must remind ourselves is that power is never absolute, especially when it is reckless and unaccountable. It becomes megalomanical which is a self-destructive pathology, just as we saw with Hitler’s Third Reich. It was supposed to last a thousand years, but was destroyed in a decade. Unfortunately we defeated Hitler but his fascist ideology lives on and has become a cancer on Western Civilization.
Secondly, We must not see these as end times, but as a time of transition, which the world has gone through many times before. The difference being on this occasion is the world is highly complex, highly integrated and highly populated where consequences are not just local, national, continental, but are global putting us all—the world over—in the same boat.
Thirdly, we must realize that as long as war and chaos prevail politics and statecraft progress are frozen time. At a time in world history when dynamic progressive change is more urgent than ever, there are powerful covert forces devoted to maintaining the present state of anarchy and chaos as these are the weapons of the insurrectionists. They are fighting a war of attrition in hopes we will accept peace on their despotic terms, thus endorsing their despotism. They are also the so-called “realists“claiming Mankind is condemned to live in a constant state of anarchy and they are more than willing to bury us in anarchy.
What Mankind does or doesn’t do is merely a matter of collective political will. Democracy is the essential tool, and good must prevail over evil in order for progress to take place.
The collective West is in a dangerous limbo where political will has been squelched and progressive change virtually impossible. Positive, progressive change requires political and social equilibrium to take place. Where chaos and despotism prevail, the lights go out every where. We are being led into nuclear war like sheep for the slaughter.
Fourthly, History is always in the witness box and the USA sixty-five years later has failed to come to grips with fact it is a victim of an insurrection in post WW ll years. In the decades of the 1950’s and ‘60’s the roots of the existing warfare state were put down and America declared war on the world. The harbingers of doom were every where; but ignored as this was a period of triumphalism and sanctimonious righteousness and— what better cover for an insurrection converting America into a warfare state.
Reading the speeches of John F. Kennedy and Dr. Martin Luther King is powerful testimony as to why both were assassinated. Their petitions for peace and civility were a direct and powerful threat to the establishment of the warfare state. They were just two of among many more assassinated during the 1960’s at home and aboard. All of this, and more, is historical record there for those willing to address the truths of out time.
The collapse of Communism and the USSR in 1991 revealed the warfare state’s agenda. There was no peace dividend, no change in US foreign policy but rather the doubling down and the open declaration of the pursuit global domination via doctrines, such as Full Spectrum Domination. The Wolfowitz Doctrine, the PNAC and the Bush Doctrine. The Munroe doctrine of 1823 was now global, with the fatuous claim that anything happening anywhere on earth potentially constituted a threat to US “national security.“
This goes to the heart of why propaganda is so smothering in our times as the truths of history must be slandered out of existences for the despots to impose their beleaguered agenda. As George Orwell pointed out the past(history) must be obliterated so the present can be propagandized. We have been more than accommodating in allowing our history to be obliterated — our story stolen— when it is our essential handle on reality. We are hostages to what we see as the invincible present with no way out, where the context and truths of our existence has been stripped away by despots .
We must ask ourselves; are we willing to see fascist war mongering insurrectionists of the 20th Century prevail over the world?
History is our omnipresent ally. it is the story of human folly, our genius and our proven ability to adapt. If we were not adaptive we would still be living in caves, even so there are cave dwellers among us with barbaric appetites they can’t control. They are immune to higher virtues and altruism required for human progress.
There are sinister anti-democratic forces in the West trying to sell the idea we are at The End of History. They are trying to sell the odious notion their despotism is our only alternative, and their alternative is to subjugate the world to global fascism, being the ultimate defeatist solution and complete derogation of the human spirit.
History is the great whistle blower and it is blowing the whistle on yet another defunct empire as it sinks into the sands of time, victim of its own machinations and corruptions.
If we want to read more about the rise and fall of empires and how quickly they become stale dated, American Historian Chalmers Johnson is a starting point.
To exist empire’s have to slander truth, history and reality out of existence and these are formidable forces for quisling ideologues to force out of existence. The roots of the present crisis the collective West is imposing on the world are easily traced to ill- chosen ideologies created for the purpose of global domination
At the same time we become accomplices to the tyranny by being indifferent to the truth and history as our benchmarks for the future.
Since WW ll not only has the West been victim of an insurrection, we live in a state of perpetual apprehension which is socially and individually psychically debilitating. We live under the constant threat of nuclear war, against a backdrop of perpetual war, reckless militarism, the wild swings of economic fortune, and ideologies that subvert the social good globally, diverting massive resources for specious causes and the concentration of wealth into too few hands.
The West has overdosed, on corporatism, fascism and other ruinous ideologies for too long and the recovery is a matter of political will and a convincing return to more the humanist ideologies of democracy and socialism—an acknowledgement we are irrefutably social and tribal beings.
It is little wonder Western populations are resigned to a passive, cynical, nihilist view of the world when so called Western Civilization has been so thoroughly corrupted. Persistent apprehended insurrection and apartheid are the breeding grounds of fatalism. Imagine how the Palestinians feel so many decades later.
We have hard choices to make and daunting challenges to face. We can continue to live in this diabolical state of apprehended insurrection or move on to better times fully embracing 21st Century.

—Søren Kierkegaard (1813 - 1855) Danish philosopher
