They want nuclear war. They have extravagant holes to live in until the environment cleans itself of 3 billion people. They’ll come out and live in peace and a clean environment. Until their barbarous lizard brain reasserts itself and they turn on each other. Until the only psychopath left is Bill Gates and a harem of his 100 little girls.

They forget about "nuclear winter" which could be even more devastating than the bomb itself.

My mother passed away in 2000. Many years before, while visiting her in Switzerland, we got to discuss politics and of course, America. Out of the blue she stated "all bad things come from America". I wonder what she would say today...

Your mother’s comment reminds me of what I told someone who had never been to the US a few years ago. (We were in Vietnam at the time). And I basically said that overall the US has been a force for good rather than for bad. We’ve made many mistakes but overall the world would be a much worse place if it were not for the US. I think this is generally true but I share your mother’s sentiment in that if we had learned from our biggest mistakes early on and had a clear sighted vision of where we should be striving to go we and the entire world would be much better off. It’s amazing to me that, especially during the unipolar moment, we allowed fools to run the show. And what’s even more amazing is that even after the complete mismanagement of our affairs during that period of time, we’ve continued to make bad situations worse. As John Mearsheimer says “we have the Midas touch in reverse”. So unfortunately, while it didn’t have to be that way, your wise old mother was for the most part correct.
