Neoliberalism is the ideological fragmentation bomb predatory capitalists have thrown at our societies to destroy them so they can manipulate us to their liking and pursue endless profiteering.
If I told you there is too much money in the wrong hands threatening our very existence, would you believe me? If you don’t start now.
In the late seventies and early eighties Neoliberal corporate capitalism was taking over Western economies. It has been called a rolling corporate coup d’etat. It is also known as the “free market economy” where everybody is free to get rich real quick. But do they?
Neoliberalism was a major power shift in Western democracies where corporatism reigns supreme over elected governments. It was the abdication of democratically elected governments.
The key edicts of neoliberalism are deregulation, privatization and the denigration of government and the public interest. Under neoliberalism the public interest is shot to hell as populations are disenfranchised both economically and democratically. The new ideology is designed to create immense wealth for banks, corporations and the I%.
If we wonder why the world has so many oligarchs and multi-billionaires neoliberalism is the answer. Wars are now fought for corporate profits and national leaders are no more than wars cheerleaders. If we wonder why poverty grows, social institutions and values collapse, and wars become perpetual, these are the end result of neoliberalism— designed to steal the wealth and integrity of nations.

Canada is a prime example of a corporate welfare state where the public purse heavily subsidizes corporate wealth- socialism for the very rich, predatory capitalism for everybody else. It doesn’t matter that our cherished medicare system is in precipitous decline. Part of the reason Canada’s Prime minister has become such a ridiculed figure is that he really works for the vested corporate interests that own him and not the public who elected him. He must practice an ongoing hypocrisy which he doesn’t do well.
Neoliberalism rhymes with neofeudalism. It also requires the denigration of socialism as an ideology when societies are essentially “social” and the road back to sanity in the West is a return to social and humanist values.
At the same time neoliberalism was taking root in our societies there were very legitimate concerns over such a massive shift in power, privilege and the structure of our economies. The snake oil salesmen of neoliberalism like economist Milton Friedman assured us there would be the “trickle down” where wealth would be so abundant it would trickle down to cover the cost social services and the welfare of populations. This absurd claim was made when the history of capitalism shows wealth goes straight to the top. Neoliberalism meant the robber barons were back and now corporatized with a warped ideological to serve their every need. As the above chart shows the trickle down was a total fraud as the wealth traveled upward faster than ever.
When wealth travels up ward like a fire hose of dollars there is going to be hell to pay. When all that cash is floating around whole governments and legislatures can be bought and paid for. It is no coincidence legislatures will dole out billions for war as they starve social programs. It is no coincidence Joe Biden is accused of being the most corrupt president in US history. It is no coincidence billions of dollars are spent on the Ukraine war to facilitate the corporate takeover Russia. Tragically millions of Ukrainians have become refugees, thousands more have died in combat, all for the cause of corporate wars for corporate profits.
When was the last time you heard a Western politician speak for peace… they are all obediently gaming the system, bought and paid for.
Western Civilization shows itself as barbaric and infantile as it is only capable of war and conflict. These are not acceptable in the 21st Century where planetary survival is the essential priority for all.
Western elites are so moronic they think they can endlessly indulge their immoral criminality. Their arrogance is so craven they simply ignore the dictates of history, the laws of nature and our humanist legacy dating back to antiquity… that it has come to this as we see the new Sodom and Gomorrah.
The grand spectacle we are seeing in all its aspects is the end result of a civilization turned up side down where unaccountable greed, money and power have ripped us apart.
We are witnessing the greatest fraud ever perpetrated on a civilization against its people.
The road to redemption is long and arduous. The starting line is peace, civility, and rationalism.
