The nominal presidency and the ominous power vacuum
America must repudiate war, empire and respect other countries right to self-determination.
It is very alarming to follow the commentary on the last two recent massive drone attacks by Ukraine/USA against Russia. The most recent is a swarm of drones launched against parked Russian bombers 2500 km inside Russia itself. The attack, over a year in the planning, left several Russian strategic bombers damaged or destroyed1. The one prior, can be seen as a possible assassination against Putin as the helicopter he was riding in was almost downed by a drone. All this in a time when peace negotiations are under way and such dangerous escalations are fool hardy and one step closer to nuclear war.
The commentators can only speculate on how it all happened, as they must. Traitors and cowards make it a habit of not advertising their treachery. We will only know the whole story some time in the future.
There is no question that these belated attacks, in a war already lost by Ukraine(as Washington’s proxy), were attempts to sabotage the peace talks. So typical of Washington is the habit of busily waging war while professing peace, hoping nobody will catch on.
None of the commentators raised the issue of plausible deniability. Presidents are surrounded by powerful well-entrenched bureaucrats, colleagues and lobbyists begging to do all sorts of nefarious things. The president can say Yes, No, or invoke plausible deniability— where permission is granted as long as he is not implicated. It can also happen that he was simply kept in the dark on the treachery afoot. It wouldn’t be the first time.
One of the fundamentals of the American dilemma is that corporate power, the Military Industrial Congressional Complex (MICC) and the Deep State keep the executive and legislative branches of government on a short leash, all at the expense of a flourishing democracy and the integrity of actual governance. Knowing something of the history of the CIA is to see just how covert and sinister it is.
The commentators unanimously agreed that such a sophisticated operation could only be conducted under the auspices of the CIA and Britain’s MI6.
In an interview after the attack on the parked Russian bombers Trump denied any knowledge of it. This in itself is alarming as the question arises, who did it? Was it carried our by members of his cabinet? Was he lying or kept out of the decision making loop?
With these attacks Trump’s presidency is reduced to being nominal as his credibility is blown to hell at a time most needed. This assures his sought after rapprochement with Russia is dead in the water and this may well have been the sole purpose in initiating the attack. There are those in Washington, London, Paris and Berlin who want the war continued. He promised to bring peace to both Gaza and Ukraine and has failed on both counts. As it is the world is tilting ever more dangerously to nuclear war because of Washington's intransigence, and what appears to be a power vacuum in Washington.
Where there is nobody at the helm and the decision making protocols totally corrupted there is a very dangerous power vacuum. Decision making and strategies are convulsive.
Asymmetric War
It has been clear from the outset that the US and its NATO proxies could not win a conventional war against Russia. Historically, Russia has been very adept at fighting wars and defending its homeland. High school history tells us that attacking a country on its own borders is a fool’s errand, as wars are all about logistics, and the defending country has a huge advantage. Even more so, when the attacker’s home base is half a world away. The Ukraine war is analogous to Russia parking its ass in Mexico and waging war on the USA- logistics and supply chains become a very big issue just as they were in the 20 year long Vietnam War.
From the outset Russia has wanted to terminate this war at the peace table. It only came about because the Biden administration refused to sign long sought after security guarantees. In doing so it hoped to provoke Russia into a military response. Once Russia responded with its SMO, NATO assumed escalation dominance at every opportunity.
Russia has shown great forbearance in fighting this war from the outset, where as the West has taken every opportunity to recklessly escalate through asymmetric/terrorist warfare. Russia has refused to take the bait. These drone attacks are only the most recent attempts to escalate the conflict. Their timing testifies to the replete moral depravity of the West as they make any hope of peace even more elusive.
In his Substack blog Hua Bin confirms for us Mystery Drones over New Jersey SOLVED were a dress rehearsal for the attacks just carried out.
Where American aggressions are a threat to the world they are an equally grave threat to America itself. It is caught in a vortex of decline and is desperately trying to defy the dictates of history, refusing to take responsibility for its own actions and policy failures.
These attacks, like its proxy war against Russia, via Ukraine, are desperate efforts to check its decline, but in fact accelerate it. As it pushes the world closer to nuclear confrontation it is ill-prepared for open warfare having exhausted its resources as a nation and empire. It has resorted to asymmetrical wars, endless brinkmanship and being an agent of chaos in the hope it can win by attrition.
The presidency has become largely nominal as the incumbent has burned his credibility in a few short months creating a power vacuum. The question has to be asked: by whom, where, and how critical decisions are being made?
“When all else fails go to war”…. tragically, this has been the cornerstone of US policy for too long and too often.
America must repudiate war, empire and respect other countries right to self-determination.
In compliance with the START treaty signed in 2010 between the US and Russia, strategic bombers have to sit on open tarmacs where they can be inventoried from the air. This attack was a violation of START and a direct attack on Russia’s nuclear capability.
An excellent commentary on the present situation:
History’s parrot is read in 38 US states and 55 countries world wide
"Where American aggressions are a threat to the world they are an equally grave threat to America itself. It is caught in a vortex of decline and is desperately trying to defy the dictates of history, refusing to take responsibility for its own actions and policy failures." - well said. The rulers in the hegemon have lost all rational thinking skills. The US can retain its power and prestige much better if it only learns to respect its peers and not provoke them unnecssarily. It can strengthen its position by focusing on internal improvements, instead of being an external agent of chaos. Such a simple reasoning is beyond them at this point. Arrogance and stupidity are the defining features of a declining empire and the US is not exceptional except for its exceptional lack of wisdom.
Zelenskyy is a UK puppet, goes nowhere without a British handler. Britain, Germany and EU are arming up for the final (?) attack on Russia. The world did NOT have to end this way. Russia's 12-point peace proposal should be accepted as is. There is no loss to the West except some face. Not a high price to pay for peace. The present resolution before the UNSC should be the last straw - convene the UNGA in "Uniting for Peace" mode and kick USA off UNSC, and strip the Zionist entity of its credentials.
