Overall...contributing to this malaise is the fact, in my view, that too many people (and not just in North America) are afraid to think for themselves and/or question what is being said. The more we 'turn the other cheek' the more abuse will be inflicted upon us.

I totally agree Vera, we are, at too many levels, suffering colonization of the mind and soul and have become totally submissive to the tyrannies destroying our societies. We refuse to address the issues destroying us-- predatory capitalism, wars, militarism, neoliberalism--- for starters. Denialism and nihilism are killing the West. Leadership in the West is a clown show and the lights are going out.

Yes, wholeheartedly, people are too afraid.

The remains of Western Democ(k)racy seem to be situated only in the nations we are are cajoled imperatively, to hate and vilify.

Even not speaking out about the Palestinian Genocide is very unfashionable.

I have also noticed that the mere disagreement of the CoronaPrank is cancelling Federal Candidates, seemingly all CRAP members.

The mandate of this election is to vote on entrenching only govmnt narratives.
