Professor Jeffrey Sachs of Columbia University tells of the lies and deceits that have cost millions of lives and trillions of dollars.

Before going further I urge every reader to share this video widely. It tells how we have been lied to and deceived for too many decades. It is a stunning indictment of the price we pay when governments lie and fail to be responsible.

We can feel so fortunate we have Professor Jeffrey Sachs as the GREAT TRUTH-TELLER to counter the compulsive LIAR-IN-CHIEF, Donald Trump. Trump couldn’t tell the truth if his life depended on it. He murders every truth to serve his infantile egomania honed to lie himself out of any situation.

Sachs as the agent of truth has impeccable credentials. He is a globe trotting economist of many decades, a consultant to many governments, a man of many credible connections, and eye-witness to the intrigues of hapless politicians.

In the video above he gives us the true history of the Ukraine war, and its origins dating back forty years. He provides an unimpeachable timeline of the issues and events that brought the war into being; all of which is a stunning indictment of Western treachery and grotesque perfidy.

Trump would like us to believe he is the white knight in shining armor riding in to save the day. Far from it. He was in power from 2017 to 2021. He and his party are complicit in their silence both during his first term and Biden’s disastrous tenure. Both the Republicans and the Democrats are bipartisan warfare parties as the obedient servants to the empire. Both parties collude against the best interests of the Republic in favor of the parasitic empire. Where they are elected to serve the Republic they become stooges to the empire with pockets full of cash.

The players have changed, but very little else.

We are in a time in the West where governments are broken in urgent need of repair and reform. The lies and treachery of the past and present persist if these are allowed to drift unchallenged into the future.

To not reconcile the lies and treachery of the present condemns us to equally dismal futures, perpetuating mankind’s compulsive addiction to recidivism. In other words, the trans-generational lies and deceits that have crushed the present will also crush the future, as surely as God made little apples.

The empire is the invisible hand we are not supposed to see but with the war in Ukraine and the Gaza genocide the empire has exposed its rotted underbelly. The insatiable appetites of the empire have been exposed vaulting it into a spiral of decline.

Just as a sheep and lion cannot share office space, nor can an republic and empire share the same legislatures. The sheep and the republic end up as blood stains on the floor, while the lion and empire roar on. Lions and empires have their own mortality. The question is how much more damage do we allow the empire to do in the interim; especially so in a globalized world where consequences so easily become all-pervasive.

In 1989 when the USSR collapsed the US was the remaindered empire and went rogue; more determined than ever to become the unitary global hegemon. Now history and the world has caught up to it. Its decline is precipitous, its dream more than ever illusory.

More so than any other nation, the USA must urgently fulfill its global communal obligation to repudiate war, empire, and hegemony, and take its rightful place as a hemispheric world power, collaborating with others. To do otherwise accelerates its own decline while holding the world community hostage to an illusory ambition long gone.

We live in complex, gaslit societies where we are more vulnerable than ever to internal insurrections. These are perilous times in the West, where too much power resides in the bloodied, corrupted hands of a few agents of chaos.

As the West rages on, Sachs and others like him become our government in exile; the true patriots and loyal opposition in times of treason and betrayal.
