Are Canada and the collective West capable of re-invention?
The delusional West believes war is the road to salvation, when re-invention is its only option.
“If allowed to run free of the social system, capitalism will attempt to corrupt and undermine democracy, which is after all not a natural state.”
— John Ralston Saul, Canadian Philosopher

The other day I came a cross an article naming two Canadian politicians as progressives. To use that word in these times is a lying profanity in the true North not so strong, not so free.
The other day I listened to an expert being interviewed on the implications of the newly cooked up Bill C-18. He confirmed the worst. As usual the apprentice government foisted on Canadians 8 years ago did its usual trickery- muddling through, making the wrong decision, in the wrong way, without due diligence.
The other day our floor flusher PM shuffled his cabinet once again which is his way of virtue signaling, showing gender parity, resuscitating his government’s torpid pulse, and making sure no minister is in their job long to know what they are doing.
The other day I saw footage of the PM and the Opposition leader, sparring as usual, like two school yard juveniles trying trying to win the Light Weight Championship of Canadian Regressive Addled Politics (LWC of CRAP) and continue selling out the country to endless moral and political turpitude.
I have yet to hear a federal politician, or any other, speak for peace or make an intelligent comment on the crisis the world is going through. Ottawa has boarded up the windows and the locked the doors on the rest of the world pretending an escalating a world war just isn’t happening. Where they are supposed to be delivering peace, order and good government, they are the obedient powder monkies to the empire’s Pyrrhic wars.
The national media is their close accomplice, as its credibility is in the sewer shot full of holes, bleeding dollars and integrity.

Canadians are directing a lot of anger at government these days, and so we should.
Since the time of the father, forty years ago, Canada has gone through many changes, unfortunately the really big ones have gone undetected and now haunt our existence.
The father was a strong federalist who believed in a strong united Canada. The son is a neoliberal despot content to see the country a fragmented remnant of it former self,—well tutored by globalist George Soros.
Since the time of the father all governments have been neoliberal and are in corporate capture. Corporate interest prevails over all others and government is their toady, bought and paid for. Political party identities are erased and elections become halfhearted exercises of political hoopla, sloganeering, and promises made to be discarded. Rather than leadership politics becomes an exercise in perks, pensions, obsequious handshakes and immoderate hugs.
Since the time of the father Canada has walked away from its political and economic sovereignty.
Stephen Harper was the hard driving ideologue out to dismantle the country. His successor, the son, the addled prankster has let the country die on the vine while he flits about the country in government jets.
Canadians want an election now but little good it will do. The Conservatives have nothing to offer. The neoliberal Liberals are the designated beneficiary of our broken electoral system and our single party state. Until that changes nothing else will.
All they have to do to win is change leaders, which they will. Melanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the PM’s protege, will assume office as Canada’s first woman prime minister. The PM’s feminist agenda will be replete. The PM emeritus will be appointed Governor General as the best hand shaker ever. Life in happy valley, Ottawa on the Rideau, will roll on.

While Nero fiddled Rome burned. As the addle-brained collective West wages endless war the rest of the world moves on.
The future of the world will in part be decided on how soon the collective West exhausts itself, and its ability to wage war and be the global trouble maker. There is every indication this is coming soon to a theater near us all.
There is the off-chance it might sober up, but not likely.
Canada, like other so-called Western democracies ( including the USA) should consider re-inventing themselves. Are Canadian and Western elites going to continue their episodic and degenerate decline ruining Western Civilization: or start down the high road to redemption and social re-invention?
We let our democracies erode into war and chaos and sit back in awe and denial at how horrible things have become .
History is prophecy where degeneracy and impertinence are well recorded.
Piffling issues for all to consider.

In case you missed it:
Looking at the various political 'leaders' of today...how many know what war is from personal experience? NONE!!!
Reading this from Australia, the US's other miniature poodle, depressingly familiar. Corporate capture, Murdoch, terrible general knowledge, US predation disguised with bribes and threats, housing the endless national obsession, homelessness increasing weekly - and soon our fire season as we too ramp up fossil fuel exports. The reckoning'll be democratic - no one survives irreversible abrupt climate change. The US wants to shorten the lead time and we applaud.
