Zelensky thrown under the bus: Plus Israel and Palestine

The most effective propaganda is when you don't even realize it is propaganda.

History records tyrannies from when they are seedlings, yet we are aghast when they burn down the world.

The first things we have to note about Time Magazine’s article on Ukraine President Zelensky is how readily accessible it is, not behind a pay wall for subscribers only. It is a divorce decree. Zelensky is being dumped, personne non grata, thrown under the bus. This article is well planted for the widest possible circulation.

Among other things to note is that from the moment the war started going sour Washington has needed an “off ramp” from the war without losing face, and a way to minimize the collateral damage of another war lost, billions spent, a country in ruins, millions of refugees and armies decimated. After 20 years in Afghanistan and 2.3 trillion dollars spent the US made a hasty retreat to focus its loving attention on Ukraine. Now, yet another Korea, another Vietnam, another Iraq, another Afghanistan…. and the list goes on.

This war was purportedly a war to liberate Ukraine from an unjustified Russian invasion; but of course this has long since proven as no more than crass propaganda. Once the war started the inestimable Joe Biden publically proclaimed this war was about weakening and destroying Russia. It was meant to bring about regime change and ruin Russia’s economy. Washington blew up the Nordstream pipelines as an act of wanton terrorism which back fired just like economic sanctions, leaving Europe facing some very long cold winters and economic blowback it won’t recover from any time soon.

The venue for Washington’s latest war has become the Middle East where Hamas and Israel are hammering each other into the ground while the Western world hotly debates who are the real terrorists—presided over by the biggest terrorist of them all. Washington could stop this genocide but it has its eye on Iran—as the escalator of wars it never wins—it wants to pick a fight with the Ayatollah and his vast collection of rockets. But of course if Iran is targeted that brings in Russia and China and a war that could go nuclear— with the US going first as it has declared the right to first strike and it is still the only power to actually use the nuclear bomb.

Expert analysts report the US has lost its ability and manpower to fight a major conflict and might have to go nuclear to go prevail. Both Russia and China have warned that it the US gets heavy handed they will do likewise.

As early as April 22, 2022 a peace negotiation was successfully arrived at but vetoed by Washington and Zelensky was ordered to fight on in a war that was being lost . Then came the months long counteroffensive which failed and now it is acknowledged the war is lost even by the Western media. Zelensky is left with a “frozen war” on his hands as a formal negotiated settlement would be an international humiliation for Washington.

Not only is Zelensky being betrayed, he is being scapegoated as the Time article transfers blame for the war to Zelensky. It is now his war even though it was always Washington’s war from start to finish. Zelensky was of value only as long as he was winning. As long as he was the “new Churchill” and they could put him on the cover of Vogue magazine. He has gone from being in vogue to a pariah that must be thrown under the bus. No more hugs and hands from Joe Biden.

In his days as the first Director of the CIA Allen Dulles had a habit of sizing up people he met as potentially “useful” in his world of covert operations. Zelensky is no longer useful and the grand tradition rolls on.

Who are the real terrorists? This is a question tearing our countries apart, and the only way to answer is to consult history. This is where the seedlings of discontent and violence are planted. The only way we can arrive at just outcomes is to get past the politics, the hate and ask ourselves where lies the truth? It has given me much better clarification on the issues as they are very well presented.

One comment I feel compelled to make is that there is a clip where US President Joe Biden speaks and it confirms once again the US cannot be considered an honest broker in this crisis or any other. It uses Israel as an outpost of its empire and as usual makes the fatuous claim Israel, as its is, is essential to US national security. Also Israel is a proxy for Washington’s war on the Arab world and Iran in particular, just as Ukraine is a proxy for war against Russia, Israel is a proxy for war again Iran.

Empires have the despicable talent of pitting their enemies and puppets one against the other and then acquitting themselves of responsibility and liability— just as they threw Zelensky under the bus.

Once again the stage is set for another Biden fiasco.
