Willful ignorance-- and the Anatomy of a war

This war is nothing more than naked imperialism on the part of the USA. To believe otherwise is willful ignorance.

The driving force behind this world crisis is American imperialist hubris and the world is hostage to its criminal warfare.

The dissipated West is suffering a pandemic of willful ignorance and the situation is critical; especially among those who are supposed to supply real leadership in such dire circumstances.

I have just been browsing around various media outlets in my home country and the news is discouraging. We must at all times respect others opinions, especially if we expect them to respect ours. People are entitled to be apathetic, passive, indifferent, the usual human frailties. But how do we deal with people where willful ignorance is constantly reinforced by the media and politicians who betray us on a daily basis?

I live in a colonized country where the propaganda walls are high and forbidding. The mainstream media is a cheerleader for the war as is the government of the day. I have never seen such solidarity among my fellow citizens on any issue- to the point where it smells of brainwashing? They appear to believe that a combination of jingoism, Russia phobia and willful ignorance will make the sun come up tomorrow and everything will be fine and dandy.

Denial of factual history is endemic.

Last year about at this time I learned how willingly NATO could be dragged into a war serving Washington’s imperialist ambitions. Especially when it was ludicrous for NATO to go to war against Russia as their major trading partner and energy supplier. Now we see the end result. European economies are in ruins because of economic sanctions that backfired. Inflation is skyrocketing, energy prices are multiples of what they were. Once powerful Britain is a basket case, Paris is in revolt, and Scholz’s bewildered Germany is burning itself to the ground.

There are analysts who will tell you Washington created this imbroglio to not only go after Russia but to consolidate control over its NATO colony. Blowing up the Nordstream pipelines was the icing the cake for the folks in the White House and their neocon keepers.

There is growing anger among Europeans directed at the US and their own governments as they realize how profoundly they have been betrayed.

Where NATO was a one time defense alliance it has also been a powerful instrument of colonization for the US and a handy staging area for war against Russia which it has been planning for decades long past. NATO leaders in Europe have been agents of their own demise, like sheep led to the slaughter.

The rallying cry in the West is this Putin’s war, he started it!. Nothing could be further from the truth.

This war actually started in 2014 ( this is the ninth anniversary not the first) when the US initiated regime change against the duly elected government of Ukraine. Ukraine was the designated staging area for war against Russia even though it is still is not a NATO member. Joe Biden announced in September 2021 the country would be“NATOized”in other words—- prepared for war against Russia. Ukraine has been NATO’s pawn sacrifice and Zelensky their puppet. Tens of billions of US dollars were poured into run the country, to supply weapons and train Ukrainian troops.

NATO’s war of cowardice

Why was Ukraine used as NATO’s proxy?

• NATO had to find a way to lure Russia into war. Ukraine was the bait in the trap.

• NATO could not be seen in direct conflict with Russia. It had to orchestrate the conflict to portray Russia as the aggressor.

• NATO could not supply its own troops as this would provoke strong public opposition in NATO countries if our troops were deployed. In Afghanistan some NATO countries stipulated any troops they sent were not to serve in combat roles.

• From the outset NATO has continually escalated the conflict. When it became clear Russia was winning and Zelensky was screaming for more troops, equipment and money. Now NATO is scrambling to supply these too late in the game.

• NATO sabotaged peace negotiations in April of last year, thanks to former British prime minister Boris Johnson, whose own country is now a train wreck.

• It has been generally reported Ukraine military took heavy causalities because they did not have the reinforcements they needed.

• NATO ignored the fundamental reality that fighting any country, especially Russia, on its home front is pure folly: much like attacking Korea and Vietnam in China’s sphere of influence. Fighting wars half way around the world is never a great idea, as in Afghanistan where NATO blew 2.3 trillion dollars, over 20years using the country as a killing field.

• Where Russia has fought a war of carefully calculated forbearance; NATO has sponsored a scrambled rearguard action failing to give its proxy needed support when he needed it most.

• Where NATO refused to supply troops for combat the Ukraine military has been decimated. NATO is very adept at fighting its wars on others territory at others expense. Ukraine has paid the price for NATO’s treachery and Zelensky is no Winston Churchill.

What if Ukraine was….?

What if Ukraine was situated in Africa or South America? Would the US be interested in adopting it as a puppet warfare state. The answer is a conclusive No! Washington’s only interest in Ukraine is its location as a “Bait State”. Similarly, it is only interested in Taiwan as a bait state to lure China into war.

From 1980 to 1988 Iraq’s Saddam Hussein fought a proxy war on behalf of the US against Iran. His reward was to see his country invaded and destroyed by its one time ally in 2003.

Spheres of Influence

When the USSR collapsed in 1991 there was a promise made to Russia NATO would not expand eastward to Russia’s border. This promise was broken by US presidents Clinton and Bush ll . Experts and diplomats warned this would lead to war with Russia, and now we see it.

Jens Stoltenberg Secretary General of NATO blabbed it does not recognize other countries “sphere’s of influence”— Yet NATO under the guiding hand of imperialist US claims the whole world as it’s sphere of influence. Any incident anywhere on Earth it fatuously claims is a threat to its “national security.”

Minsk Agreements

The Minsk Agreements were drawn up in 2014 to ease tensions in Ukraine but were never enforced by its European guarantors. Retired German Chancellor Angela Merkel has revealed that these agreements were no more than a stalling tactic to buy time for NATO to arm Ukraine in preparation for going to war against Russia.

Russia’s SMO- Special Military Operation

Russia’s SMO began on February 24th of last year. Its intentions were limited and clearly stated . The most important of which was to repatriate Ukraine’s four eastern provinces populated mostly by ethnic Russians, 14,000 of which had been killed in the civil war raging since 2014, the year of he American coup d’etat.

Where the Western propaganda machine immediately jumped on this SMO as Russian imperialism; It was closer to a humanitarian intervention and an R2P undertaking.

NATO’s failed intelligence

NATO got the war they wanted and plotted for but they made fundamental errors that now haunt them.

• NATO failed to realize Russia knew a military showdown was inevitable and prepared for it accordingly.

• NATO thought it could topple Russia with economic sanctions. Russia was already under sanctions and prepared and diversified it economy to protect against any more sent its way.

• The economic sanctions that were supposed bring down Russia have back-fired (predictably) and devastated Europe as NATO’s home turf, having shit their own pants.

• NATO made the mistake of thinking Russia was a captive prize for the taking when all it had to do was redirect its economy eastward which it was already doing. Western belligerence forced Russia and China into the indomitable defense alliance they enjoy today.

• Before this war many Western economic and military analysts warned against the folly of this conflict and have been proven correct, including Washington’s own treasury department and Pentagon officials.

• NATO has relied too heavily on torrents of propaganda too easily undercut by world wide alternate and independent news sources.

Cultures living by lies, propaganda and endemic corruption die accordingly.

The West is trapped in the psychosis of war and abandoned any rationality, determined to escalate the conflict to full calamity.

Western populations are indifferent to the fact our political and economic elites have abandoned us to Pyrrhic wars the consequences of which will be with us for decades to come.

My beloved Canada suffers a culture of marionettes practicing willful ignorance in service to a wanton imperialist. Willful ignorance is also “conscientious stupidity” as Martin Luther King suggests below. It is tragic when whole societies practice it.

The crippled Collective West speaks for only 12% of the world’s population is suffering a pandemic of willful ignorance and “conscientious stupidity”. Until this changes it is accelerating itself to a marginalized boon bock existence while the rest of the world moves on.

Perpetual wars are for perpetual losers.
