“A fake populist is someone who claims to represent the interests of ordinary people but does so insincerely or for personal gain. This term is often used to describe politicians or leaders who adopt populist rhetoric and strategies without genuinely adhering to the principles of populism.” --Copilot
As the US presidential election came to a close there was a slim chance Trump might be the preferable choice after the Biden bunko-crazy-wackos thoroughly disgraced themselves before the world. They finished what Hillary Clinton started— the complete immolation of the Democratic party. It never occurred to her that many of those she called “deplorables” were those thoroughly fed up with the chicanery of the double dealing Democrats and her as the “Queen of Chaos”. Like Biden and Harris after her it appears the Democrats specialize in running the most obnoxious candidate available.
Whenever Trump nailed down the planks of his platform they had to be evaluated as to whether they were sincere, he was strategically pulling his punches, or another wacko multi-billion dollar boondoggle in the making. In a time when politicians make promises never kept Trump made promises impossible to keep.
Is Trump the right guy with the right stuff?
Statistics show that the US is one of the slowest countries to roll out its cabinets and who staffs key cabinet positions is a powerful indicator of what is going to happen, or not happen in the next four years. Presently there is an unworthy cast of characters either being considered or claiming to be so. The world awaits with bated breath to find out who is the real Donald, is he a fake populist, potentate or the best thing since sliced bread.
It would be a better world if he could purge the Zionists and Neocons out of their feathered nests, especially in the State Department.
Whatever choices are made it could the shortest presidency ever or one of the greatest in a very long time. The president elect has an independence of mind that could work for or against him. By the time of his inauguration the world could be looking forward with dread or hopeful anticipation. Trump is without a doubt a very polarizing figure and his moment of truth is at hand. This is a time when he must be utterly fastidious in his choices.
He should be especially aware hack politicians rarely perform well in high positions where statecraft, diplomacy and sober second thought are required. Unfortunately America is prone to appointing partisan politicians and dangerous ideologues into high positions where wisdom and visionary leadership should be the first prerequisites. Too often crude bullying and brinkmanship are employed when skilled diplomacy wins much better results with less blood on the carpets.
Governments, more so than other institutions, are especially vulnerable to the Peter Principle where endless numbers of fools and buffoons are left to free wheel. They also are cesspools of cronyism, patronage and graft .
We can only hope Trump does a decent job of house cleaning before embarking on his heroic journey. He has courageously survived the slings and arrows of his outrageous enemies for his moment in time.
Nobody wins.
Especially the Palestinians.
The REAL winners...the rich.
