When the chickens come home to roost.
Life gets very very complicated when the media and the politicians are lying all the time. Especially when the chickens come home to roost.
There are liars, outrageous liars, and then the humbling immutable truths of history.
It makes for very dark tragicomedy when too many have been caught lying for too long and too often. Then the chickens come home to roost.
One of the most contentious issues surrounding the Ukraine war is did Russia start it or was it provoked into action of necessity? The propaganda of the time painted it as naked imperialist aggression. Russia was intent on crushing Ukraine and then move on to sweeping through Europe.
It didn’t matter Europe and Russia had very close energy and trade ties with each other. Even so Europeans reserved the right to hate Russia and were more than willing to declare war on Russia at the behest of their imperial master.
Once truth caught up to events and the historic record consulted it was proven otherwise. In fact this was just another incident of American imperialism.
A cardinal rule of empires is that they cannot be seen to start wars. They have to shift the blame to the other party by whatever means necessary, using a proxy, ample amounts of propaganda, color revolutions, or a false flag event. It is more politely called “controlling the narrative” which comes easily when the corporate media become the prestitute for endless wars.
We know now its roots were planted in 1989 when the USSR collapsed and US became the world singular rogue super power. Peace dividend denied, the world’s singular super power was going for broke and damn the consequences.
The two biggest impediments were Russia and China as the two countries in the world with true sovereignty and outside the US hegemonic orb. These two countries had to be conquered and Taiwan and the Ukraine were the designated FOBs (Forward Operating Bases) for the grand assault to capture the Eurasian heartland.
In the spring of 2021 the US made an abrupt departure from Afghanistan after occupying it for 20 years and spending 2.3 trillion dollars. It came as a surprise to this writer as I felt its presence there would be indefinite as Afghanistan was strategically located for an empire with global hegemonic ambitions. The question immediately rose— if leaving Afghanistan where was it headed ? Where was the next imperialist “probing war” to take place — as this is what empires do, constantly probe for weaknesses in their war on the world—at the same time keeping the world in a state of chaos.
The answer came quickly in the fall of the same year. The new focus was Ukraine. The fires of war were being stoked. Putin was pursuing long sought after security guarantees in view of NATO pushing up to its border, by way of granting Ukraine NATO membership. The US was playing its usual game of brinkmanship. Putin was faced with having Ukraine armed to the teeth and able to hit Moscow with missiles on five minutes notice.
NATO was knocking on Russia’s front door and planning on knocking it down!— sort of like Russian submarines cruising up the Potomac flags aflutter or Chinese war ships passing under the Golden Gate bridge in San Francisco. NATO’s presence in Ukraine comes under the heading of insane effrontery.
Alas the war is lost. Donald Trump cannot say America lost the war but he can say Russia has won. He can blame Zelensky. He can dump on the Europeans as scapegoats on the road to reopening communications with Russia as he must.
Zelensky and Europe were Biden’s sock puppets, now serving as Trump’s scapegoats.
In other words Biden and his cabal of neoconservatives lied their way into war. Trump has had to tell the counter-lie to save face and end the no longer cost effective war with its cover blown. The lying chickens cackle on.
And so the question remains, after Serbia, Libya, Iraq, Syria, Iran, Afghanistan and now Ukraine where is the next imperialist probe? It would appear to be Taiwan as the final chapter of the Wolfowitz Doctrine is being written and China is in the cross hairs.
Alas, The empire of too many lies cackles on.
That's why the authority is killing all the chickens.
Authority doesn't want a plague of reality.
Putin could declare "no deal" and have the Russian military finish their objectives. Then there would be no room for US/NATO to pretend they didn't lose the war.
