"We cannot normalize craziness"- Jeffrey Sachs
Sachs and others of his stature have become our interim de facto government until such time as legitimacy is restored to failed democracies.
We can be very thankful that both Professor Jeffrey Sachs and Turkish Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek are economists of great distinction. They also have the gift of explaining economics in terms we can all understand. Sachs gives us a very clear picture of the “craziness” of Trump’s economic policies. Together the two economists provide a very clear picture of global economics and the challenges we face.
World population is nearly 8 billion people and we can no longer afford idiots in government. How effectively we govern ourselves is a matter of planetary survival. In a mere 4 months time Trump has destroyed his presidency as he has zero credibility and alienated the world community. He is not alone as leaders of the collective West have brought disgrace on themselves as they mindlessly tilt the world to more and greater wars. We are witnessing the greatest collapse of government the world has ever seen and probably will ever see. The road back is long and challenging, but first of all the idiocracy of the collective West must be purged as we have normalized war and craziness for too long.
Until such time as we repudiate war forward progress cannot even begin. Progress is frozen in time and futures only become bleaker as the state of crisis rolls on.
Sachs and others of his stature become our interim de facto government until such time as legitimacy is restored to failed and utterly corrupted democracies.
I greatly respect and admire Prof. Sachs...Years ago many US industries were moved, first to Mexico, and then to China - seeking cheaper labour and bigger profits. The average consumer enjoyed very little of this. This is self-inflicted pain and, as America has always done and still does, first blame others long before blaming itself.
I think we need to go forward, not back. We've been building to this moment for decades, if not centuries. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0tSYW-Qalw
