The Presidencies of the Damned
The office of the US president is just one more institution that has been destroyed by the expediencies and crimes of the empire...
Where an agency knows no truth, integrity or humanity it ceases to exist, existing only as a black hole of infamy.
Dwight D. Eisenhower was the 34th US president serving from 1953-1961. He earned his stripes as the Supreme Allied Commander in WW ll. He was a somewhat hesitant president as he was a military man and never an aspiring politician. It is then understandable that he stated the quote below. He also stated the nobody should be president if over 70 years. His second term ended when he was 70 making him true to his word.
His two comments become harbingers of horrible times to come.
I must insert here the vantage point from which I observe the passing scene. I am five months younger than Biden and three years older than Trump. Within the limits of my age I enjoy my retirement and deeply thankful to my doctors that I am here today. When it comes to both these presidents they arouse a certain parentalism in me, as Biden given his age and condition never should have been president and the same applies to Trump. We owe it to ourselves and others to know when the time has come to move on and let others take over.
After retiring I often made the joke that I was working as a night watchman in a mattress factory— this was code for I am retired, require frequent naps, and occasionally use a walking stick.
Each of us ages in different ways at different rates, in the hope no serious illness will intervene. Employers should not be required to run day care centers for seniors, and most importantly— governments should not be running gerontocracies when the quality and continuity of governance is more critically important than ever. Especially so, when they are running idiocracies and kakistocracies simultaneously.
That these two geriatrics sought high office at their age is deplorable. That they were allowed to run is a stunning indictment of the parties they represent and takes the measure of democracy in full collapse. The contempt is such that any old body will do. What is supposed to be the most office powerful in the world, is in fact a comfortable sinecure for aged souls as stooges for the vested interests controlling them.
There is a growing body of psychologists advocating those in high office must be screened. This is long over due. If I call my doctor, lawyer or plumber I can have confidence in their services rendered. Calling a politician you get the bums rush. Politicians are the least credentialed “profession” and walk-ons who can be in positions of power in short order. It has been said that Washington DC has the highest number of psychopaths per square foot of any city in the US.
Trump was host and co-producer for Celebrity Apprentice for 14 years. He was fired for making indiscreet political comments in 2015 by NBC. The comments very predictive of his abusive insolence that would become the trade mark of his presidency.
The fact that too many politicians loiter about so late in life, reflects the corruptions of our times where there is too much money and illegitimate power to be had and too many stay in office to stay in the game. They would rather rot on the back benches and humiliate themselves in the public square. There is no noblesse oblige in politics, just dollars, cronyism and the perks of tainted power.
Trump will be known as the president where the truth was the opposite of everything he ever said and did, and killed his presidency in four months flat.
Biden as president once bragged that he had been in politics for 50 years, which is hardly something to brag about given his meteoric mediocrity. When he gave “Netanyahoo” his blessing to conduct genocide, he did so as a self-proclaimed Zionist, forgetting that as president he was speaking for the American people!
Politics in the US has become a cult divorced from the realities of the real world, blindly obedient to the treasons of the empire, and utterly contemptuous of the peoples it is mandated to serve.
The wisdom of Eisenhower goes unacknowledged today as in too many instances governments have become gerontocracies, where feeble senators go silent at their microphones, words are slurred and teleprompters take the measure of insincere convictions.
In his1960 farewell address Eisenhower also warned of the rise of the Military Congressional Industrial Complex(MCIC) which now governs the USA. The sixties to follow were the decade of assassinations where the empire put down its roots as the warfare state. After the assassination of Kennedy the US presidency was redefined. The presidency now had to juggle the appetites of the empire against the constitution of the Republic. Eisenhower knew the rigors of being a military general as well as being president. But after Kennedy the empire and Republic shared office space— as the lion vs the lamb— as the lion roared, the lamb was fleeced.
There have been eleven presidents since Kennedy. Everyone has been a warfare president as they exercised the deceitful duality of being the duly elected president of the Republic, at the same time serving as the agency for the empire’s wars and global criminality.
As the decades slipped by the office of president has tilted more and more toward being a catering service to the empire’s wars. Parasitically feeding on the resources of the homeland, the Republic assumed its moral, fiscal and social liabilities.
With the presidencies of Trump and Biden the office of president came to be the exclusive franchise of the empire and its faltering status. As 45th president Trump served his apprenticeship to later return as the 47th. Biden as the 46th brought the empire into full view as he provoked the Ukraine war and gave his groveling endorsement to “Netanyahoo’s” criminal genocide. The empire under these two presidents emerged from its shadow world to blatantly expose its agenda. Though it is running thirty years late, morally and fiscally bankrupt the empire is making its last desperate effort to achieve global hegemony.
They are running thirty years too late vainly trying to implement Zbigniew Brezezinki’s plan for the conquering of the Asian heartland. There is also the Yinon Plan of 1982 which plotted and explains the Israeli barbarism of today— too much of what happens today was planned long ago lying in wait to ambush the present!
The Ukraine war, The Gaza genocide and now the war against Iran are stepping stones to the ultimate war against China. “Imperialism” is a taboo word in today’s mealy-mouthed world where the great truths of our times are avoided and systematically subverted. Five hundred years later we are seeing the death throes of imperialism as the last empire collapses. In a world of 8 billion peoples imperialism and its transnational criminalities are no longer affordable. Nor can we afford tyranny’s run by troglodytes and their crippled infantile egos.
History meticulously documents the decline of democratic institutions, the US presidency being one more, of too many.
The world is astounded by the barbaric ruthlessness we are currently witnessing. This is because empires are conceived of greed, despotism and drunken arrogant triumphalism. The fall of empires is a sobering experience and angry souls turn to craven revanchist barbarism to try and reverse the inevitable tides of history. The goons now presiding over the empire are desperate men in their desperate hour. The late Roman emperors were a parade of social misfits and mental cripples indulging in their criminality— as is the nature of falling empires.
The office of the US presidency is just one more institution that has been destroyed by the expediencies and crimes of the empire, once more exemplifying Hannah Arendt’s insight:
“Although tyranny...may successfully rule over foreign peoples, it can stay in power only if it destroys first of all the national institutions of its own people.”
