Thanks for your post. It’s hard to see how the collective West can exit the Ukraine fiasco without losing face or risking nuclear escalation. The 30+ years of total economic, political, and military hegemony have come to an end, and during this time, they forgot how diplomacy works, a skill necessary for negotiating settlements despite conflicting interests. They burned all bridges behind, created false narratives, insulted, and underestimated their opponent, all while completely destroying Ukraine in the process.

Thanks for this important post, Robert.

It's terrifying that the whole western world is moving to the right, and that hard right candidates are leading in so many polls.

I was thinking about this last night and wondering how we get the people on the streets for Palestine encouraging a left vote, and I don't mean the hollowed out pseudo left like the Democrats or the Liberals here in Canada. Since voter turnout is so low, maybe it would just be a matter of getting those who don't vote to vote just this once because it's so important. I'd like to see this movement take off in all western countries: https://x.com/i/status/1800474513702023358

You’ve summed it up!

I hate to say this but my “course” is the best way for us to try to get out of this mess. Unfortunately no one wants to listen to me or take my course.

I feel bad about that but I guess I shouldn’t feel too bad because as correct as he has been and continues to be, it doesn’t seem as though anyone is listening to John Mearsheimer.

You, and all of the other people who are what I call on John Mearsheimer’s side of the fence are EXACTLY CORRECT.

And guess what? The result of people not listening to us will most likely be result in nuclear holocaust.

That’s truly sad because all it would have taken is really good leadership during the unipolar moment to follow the dictates in my course and we would have avoided most of the biggest problems we’re currently facing.
