Where there should be outrage there is none,

Compassion none,

Solidarity none,

Empathy none,

Accountability none,

Responsibility none.

This is the noneness,

The nullity of our times.

From the outset the martyrdom of Julian Assange was arbitrary. He was selected as the sacrifice to the gods of war and tyranny. His martyrdom is a stark warning to all other journalists who speak truth to power— speak the truth and this is your fate.

Assange may never see freedom because in these times there is so much power held in so few hands. It is so elusive and amorphous politicians and courts of law are hesitant to defy the dark powers that control them. They become accessories to Assange’s martyrdom just as they are accessories to the sacking of Ukraine in service to their imperialist agenda.

In earlier times when the integrity of our courts and democracies were intact Assange would have earned his freedom long ago. In these times when the planet’s future is being contested one life is of little concern to war mongering fascists.

This war is also against us as they want to drive us into passivity where they can practice their authoritarianism unchallenged', using chaos and managing our perceptions with endless propaganda and misinformation. We can hardly be idle spectators when we are stakeholders and proxies for future generations.

Our pressure for Assange’s release must be as unremitting as their despotism.

This is warfare like non other where our cretinous power elites are holding the planet hostage to their pursuit of absolute power over the world. They have also betrayed and declared war on their own populations, which is us. Dissent must be smothered in a sea of lies and deceptions for them to win their war on the world. In too many ways Julian Assange is us , acting on our behalf. Indifference to his plight is indifference to our own.

Freedom of the press and speech are already casualties of this ongoing crisis and must work their way back to credibility. His fight is very much our fight.

Since his imprisonment he has been systematically tortured.

For the past half century Western Civilization has been the victim of too many wars, systemic corruptions, abandoned democracies ruinous ideologies and reckless militarism. We are fragmented societies too easily exploited and it is going to take decades to repair the damage done, such is the depth and virulence of the betrayal.

This is WW lll and the war for freedom of speech and freedom of the press is a critical aspect of it. We can never allow outcomes to be determined by lies and propaganda.

We are in a war of civilizations where a declining and utterly corrupt empire is fighting rearguard wars in a delusional attempt to rescue itself from the inevitable fate of all empires, at the world’s expense. We are all combatants by whatever means.
