The Liberation of Tucker Carlson and Ourselves
After watching a few of his shows there was a strange phenomena taking place— I found myself agreeing with much of what Carlson said. Was I moving right or was he moving left?
Carlson has been liberated. Assange’s liberation is outstanding. There is speculation Assange’s persecutors would be quite happy to see him die in prison. This is the ultimate savagery any state can impose on an individual. Hypocritical Washington will never get to lecture other country on human rights without howls of shame, shame. It has reached the outer limits of its hypocrisy with the persecution of Julian Assange and too many million of others.

“The other thing you notice when you take a little time off is how unbelievably stupid most of the debates you see on television are,” he continued. “They’re completely irrelevant. They mean nothing. In five years we won’t even remember we heard them. Trust me, as somebody who participated.”
He claimed that “undeniably big topics, the ones that will define our future, get virtually no discussion at all,” including “war, civil liberties, emerging science, demographic change, corporate power (and) natural resources.”
“Debates like that are not permitted in American media.”—Tucker Carlson on Twitter

I was never a follower of Fox News until I started watching Tucker Carlson. Fox has a well established reputation as being a hard ass right wing dog and pony show pitching the same old dogma. After watching a few of his shows there was a strange phenomena taking place— I found myself agreeing with much of what Carlson said. Was I moving right or was he moving left?
Now we know the answer. He was moving left, interviewing a broader range of guests, addressing issues in a more forth right straight forward manner and becoming a loose cannon. Loose cannons straying from their partisan moorings have to be pushed overboard and Fox owner Rupert Murdoch did just that.
We should never think that media moguls maintain their empires as a public service. For them it is class war, make money and control what people think—also known as Newspeak. Media ownership is just another asset in their investment. Media ownership in the US is controlled by six conglomerates, some years ago it was fifty four.
There actually was a time in both Canada and the USA when corporate ownership of the media and concentration of ownership were concerns. Now we see the end result and why freedom of speech and the press are critical issues. Corporations are the same folks who sponsor endless wars and endless profiteering .
For Murdoch, Carlson was another pesky reporter who had to be sent on his way. He had to be disciplined and knocked down a notch. Murdoch should have thought twice because what he has done is liberate him. It is only a matter of time before Carlson establishes another platform, where his followers will follow and because of his firing many more will join the ranks. Murdoch has actually promoted Carlson to greater glory, as a cause célèbre.
What Carlson says and does now grants him even more journalistic authority. Being fired by Rupert Murdoch is a five star addition to any journalist’s resume.
Murdoch’s timing is atrociously bad as the one of the wars we are fighting is for the freedom of the press. By firing Carlson he demonstrates just how desperate the MSM is to control the propaganda narrative. “Keep yours friends close and your enemies even closer “— Murdoch could not deal with one journalist, among so many, straying from the flock— by firing Carlson he has further empowered him.
Carlson joins Julian Assange on the pantheon of great journalists/publishers willing to speak truth to power— the essential challenge of their vocation. Carlson is so well known in his home country it should buy him immunity from persecution. For Assange he has suffered years of torture, solitary confinement and the corruptions of the British and American legal systems. He has been used as the lightning rod warning to other journalists to shut up or receive the same treatment.
The martyrdom of Julian Assange is not in vain as it has revealed how far the fundamental institutions democratic, legal and political- of the imbecilic West have fallen. There is a growing momentum and outrage calling for the release of Assange. The greatest impediment to his release is that it will be a monstrous loss of face for his persecutors after fifteen years of wanton cruelty directed at him. Just as his persecutors are facing another loss of face over losing a war in Ukraine where they egregiously miscalculated the consequences and outcome.
We truly are in WW III and it is totally hybrid. It is military, economic, also a war on freedom of speech and on freedom of the press. The Western corporate media has been a conspicuous casualty as it has shown once and for all it is agent for the warmongers, and a collapsed institution. In response to this collapse a world wide network of alternate media sources, with journalists and reporters willing to speak truth to power, is emerging.
Journalists like Assange, Carlson, and so many others are in the front lines speaking the truth on our behalf. They deserve our full support as speaking for freedom of speech, and freedom of the press in these times is essential when both are under critical threat .
Does the brazen behavior of politicians and media with their endless lies and hypocrisy indicate they see the public as so cowed and dispirited they are free to do what they wish? In other words where there is no accountability tyranny reigns supreme.
Carlson has been liberated. Assange’s liberation is outstanding. There is speculation Assange’s persecutors would be quite happy to see him die in prison. This is the ultimate savagery any state can impose on an individual. Hypocritical Washington will never get to lecture another country on human rights without howls of shame, shame! It has reached the outer limits of its hypocrisy with the persecution of Julian Assange and too many millions of others.
It has been said we get the government we deserve, and the media we deserve. Maybe its time to come out of our honied hives with stronger voices speaking against the atrocities committed in our name.
