The gruesome murder of common sense
We don’t have to worry about extraterrestrial aliens threatening us when we have an aberrant strain of incumbent political terrestrials within the gates more than willing to destroy us all.
Common sense is seeing the broad side of a barn door. The West is cursed with purblind political stumble bums, unseeing, unknowing, uncaring.
In elementary school days there were many school yard taunts directed by play mates. One of the favorites was “You can’t see the broad side of a barn door.” Many decades later that taunt has an enduring and haunting presence. There is so much we don’t see, refuse to see, or just break out the rose colored glasses, or look down the wrong end of the telescope.
Common sense is now my primary ideology. I have always seen politics as the triumph of ideology over common sense. I find it very gratifying when readers tell me what I write is common sense, because in the end common sense is what matters most and has been critically degraded in these times, some would claim murdered.
I no longer have any affiliation with any political party as they have walked away from having any real value or integrity. Where they are supposed to practice a modicum of common sense, integrity and principal, they are pimping for perks, pensions, corporate wars and corporate profits.
