The Death of Canada's NDP and so much more
NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh has his thumb out trying to hitch a ride to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) in Ottawa and he just might do it.
Early in his political career Jagmeet Singh signaled he wanted to be Canada’s prime minister. As a newly minted leader of the NDP that is certainly a political long shot as there has never been an NDP prime minister. Singh is revealing himself not as a progressive social democrat, but as a war hawk akin to US Republicans— a truly astounding transition for any erstwhile socialist.
The only way I can rationalize what appears as political suicide for him and his party is actually a gambit to outflank both Trudeau and Poilievre in the 2025 election.
Singh is supposed to lead a social democratic party, but anything resembling the founding virtues of his party are long gone. The arrival of neoliberalism in Canada. courtesy of Brian Mulroney, decimated Canada’s political parties into pale shadows of their former selves. Now they indulge in pomp, pretense and fat future pensions.
Now he is aligning himself with Washington neocon’s who actually run America’s wars. In doing so he is dissolving his party, the remnants there of, to align himself with the war agenda and remain relevant as a cheerleader for more war.
Singh and associates have given up the ghost and are joining the Liberal, CPC, Democratic, Republican cabal of Canada/US parties, who stand for what ever gets them elected. Their policies are the dictates of the vested interests controlling them, and Canada’s federal elections are rote exercises of political chicanery.
In view of Joe Biden’s recent visit to Ottawa all 338 members of Parliament confirmed their membership in the Biden fan club for perpetual war and political perfidy. As usual Canadian politicians failed to put in a good word for peace as they run their smelly catering service to the empire’s criminal warfare.
It just doesn’t seem to matter we are into WW III without having sorted out the reverberations of WW ll still afflicting us… but that is history and who we are, but of course we are thoroughly mired in the invincible present.
There is little concern we are in our third world war in just over a hundred years. In spite of claims to the contrary this is WW III and it is the big one. It is truly global and it is a war for multipolarity vs the present despotic unipolar world that must be crushed out existence if the planet is to survive.
Biden walks free after blowing up the Nordstream pipelines while Trump is going to jail on trumped up charges to stop him from running in 2024. Biden has said he is going to run again , so he might just get elected by acclamation.
Singh is making all the right moves by being buddy- buddy with Trudeau to make himself acceptable to Liberal voters. He is calling for a harder line on China and of course Sinophobic Ottawa is doing its part to vilify China as NATO prepares for war against China( it doesn’t matter NATO is losing another war in Ukraine, just as they did in Afghanistan). Ukraine was just a preliminary skirmish for the main event in the South Pacific as NATO brinkmanship goes berserk.
NATO member states bear grave responsibility for the destruction of Ukraine as they did nothing to stop what was really a proxy against Russia provoked by Washington.
Not one Canadian politician or party has spoken out for peace. Like Germany and other NATO members this conflict has taken the measure of the mindless colonization they suffer thus rendering them mindless powder monkeys serving endless wars—at a time when wars and their consequences are no longer affordable for any nation.
Singh knows that any Canadian PM has to get Washington’s Good Housekeeping Stamp of Approval (GHSA). He has his thumb out for the bandwagon hoping they will take notice of his stellar potential as a willing powder monkey.
French philosopher Simone Weil wrote a book calling for the abolition of political parties. In our day and age they are self-demolishing.
While the Collective West is driving itself crazy with its delusional ambitions and endless scapegoating there is a new multipolar world order emerging supported by most of the world’s population proactively pursuing peace and prosperity.
Does Canada really need another mannequin prime minister?
