We live in times when too many urgent mentionables go unmentioned as the Western propaganda mills grind out their rancid grist.
There is an incredible credibility gap that could kill millions— in addition to the millions already victims of the wars of the West. It is a long time since I have heard the word “credibility”mentioned like so many others. It has been wiped off the map. The gap that goes with the word has never been so horrendous as it is today.
Credibility is the difference between what we say and what we do. It most often applies to governments and politicians as they are well known for saying and not doing. When the gap gets large and bloody enough it is why governments and feckless politicians get kicked out of office, which is just what is happening with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. He and his merry band of war mongers have told too many lies too often.
He has campaigned on the lie that Russia is posed to gobble up Europe which means he has been spending too much time with NATO’s liar-in-chief Jens Stoltenberg, soon to be replaced by Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, and the puppet show rolls on.
The modus operandi for politicians of the West is that a lie told often enough becomes the truth, an issue deferred is a dead issue, and the evasive answer is elevated to an art form. This makes the credibility gap grow-like budgets squandered on foreign wars, dangerously cavernous and explosive.
Finian Cunningham an esteemed journalist who embraces the truth provides us with a profound example of how dangerous lack of credibility becomes:
The problem as Cunningham outlines in this article is now that Biden has lost by default Trump is rising in the polls on the promise he will stop the war. Even as he makes this commitment there is no jump in the polls for such a lofty and timely notion. He has a credibility gap and voters are indicating they doubt his word as they should.
He has spent far too much time in court rooms for a presidential candidate. We also know his best buddies Mike Pompeo and John Bolton, as appointees from his previous term, are the dogs of war and Trump has yielded to their powers of persuasion previously. The diminished office of the president is very much the by product of the lobbyists controlling it. Trump is no match for the neoconservative war mongers populating the State Department.
Truth and trust rhyme with credibility. Politicians have shattered the social contract to provide responsible representative government a thousand times over and voters are asked once again to elect another scarecrow president.
At best, Trump, like Biden, can only be counted on to be another scarecrow president where the marching orders are preset from on high.
Biden isn’t the first ill-chosen candidate put forth by the Democrats. Hillary Clinton was another in 2016. Where Biden burned his credentials in the Ukraine and Gaza, she burned hers blowing up Libya, and it didn’t help that she referred to Trump supporters as the “deplorables.” The Lady Macbeth of the DNC propelled Trump into the White House.
Now the uncredible Trump wins a second term by default.
So called Western democracies, captive to NATO, and under the spell of the unelected dogs of war are recklessly escalating and provoking WW lll just as they did in Ukraine. The West is suffering a war psychosis where the rampage to war may be unstoppable. Where there is no credibility, there is no integrity or diplomacy, leaving only unmitigated barbarism and genocide.
There will be no remediation until the delusional West starts dealing with the rest of the world in honest terms, takes responsible for its war crimes, failed diplomacy and repudiates it addiction to empire and militarism. No more scapegoating Russia and China and others, and ceasing its reckless brinkmanship.
Its time for the West to “come clean.”
