Time to blow the whistle and declare a time out on World War IIl. Historical illiteracy could kill us all.
It is a crazy world when we turn it upside down. It gets even crazier when audacious despots try to turn history inside out and upside down.
A few weeks ago I was checking my email when came I came across the documentary below: The Final War. With war and the plight of Mother Earth being on my mind a lot these days I immediately followed the link and braced myself for two hours and 36 minutes of insightful commentary.
Twenty minutes into the film my bullshit detector flashed red and went into full meltdown. It has since recovered and is back with all the other bric-a-bac family photos, aspidistra and umbrella plant .
The video quickly showed itself to be naked propaganda. So naked it was a waste of time to watch. I have always contended propaganda must have certain a sophistication and guile to be effective. Propaganda should never where you sit back say this is pure bull shit.

Normally I hyperlink items of further interest to readers but in this case it is a waste of your time; unless you want a lesson in how not to disseminate useless propaganda.
Of interest is the film has very high production values obviously made by seasoned professionals who knew their craft and had a generous budget. But when it comes to content it is a dog and pony show.
The narrator is a military officer and the informants and consultants are a carefully picked assemblage of think tank Sinophobic choristers. Their mission impossible is to rewrite the history of China in two hours and thirty-six minutes. They do so by transposing (exporting) all the wars, violence and imperialism of the USA on to China This is of course a long time tactic of US foreign policy to project their criminality and motives on to other countries assuming the hypocrisy will go undetected. Unfortunately it has gone unacknowledged for too long with the able assistance of propagandist Western media having sold its soul decades ago.
The film’s title is a dubious choice. “The Final War” is a tacit admission the US has been waging perpetual war for the last 75 years and this will be the final one as if to end all wars. The problem is this promise was made at the end of WW I only to be repeated 27 years later, as the greatest war ever fought, killing no less than 87 million people. Now we are in WW III and counting.
Francis Fukuyama, Neoconservative American political scientist, tried to fool us into believing we have come to the end of history with his book: The End of History. But of course this was a fraud. He was telling us all to shut and up accept the world as is, no questions asked. He and his neocon buddies should be left in charge .
There are a lot of treacherous souls out there who want us to believe this will be the final war, this is the end of history, and we have no other options. They are trying to foreclose the future on us and perpetuate an unacceptable and wholly corrupt status quo that favors them.
The term “communism” was repeated so often in the dialogue you would think the film is a replay of the MacCarthy hearings of 1957. China is ruled by an authoritarian communist party. Depending what standard you use it is the world’s largest economy and has lifted 800 million of its population out of poverty to form the world’s largest middle class. It seemed the film’s producers were trying to burn the word “communism” into our brains turning us into a choir of sing-song chanting zombies.
When a warfare state makes the promise this is nonsense. Warfare is their constitution. We are seeing how deeply embedded it is in their culture and virtually impossible to expunge. Incremental collapse or military defeat are the two options looming large. Military defeat is not an option as it would be the most Pyrrhic war ever, potentially ruining the planet.
As NATO led by the US is escalating the conflict in Ukraine it is also preparing for war against China.
The death of historical illiteracy of the West
America’s place in the world now is comparable to that of a cat burglar caught with a pocket full of diamond claiming he is just out for a breath of fresh air. Claiming innocence when there is a clear and undeniable chain of evidence to the contrary takes truck loads of arrogance and audacity.
History, in this instance, is irrefutable written by America’s own historians, but is effectively suppressed by endless propaganda, lies, deceptions, mass distractions and weaponized chaos.
America has a past disqualifying itself from having absolute power over the world and must take its place based on its own merit in the emerging multipolar world. Its self-declared age of exceptionalism is over.
War mongers and demagogues put history is its grave, and we allow them to put it there. Without it we are lost.
In the meantime historical literacy in the West is so thoroughly debased these dimwitted film makers have a captive audience.
