Talking ourselves into war... forever more
And yet, we continue to talk ourselves into more wars, led by robotic, cardboard cutouts masquerading as leaders.
I have been a spectator to too many wars for far too long. They’ve become like a scratchy, black-and-white grade 'B' movie, endlessly looping the same tired plots and footage, starring cardboard characters with their pants perpetually on fire.
If we wonder why politicians are such compulsive liars, it’s because their role is essentially robotic, steering us into wars without end.
If we question why the corporatist, conglomerate mainstream media lies so blatantly, it’s because their business thrives on selling us these wars.
As I write this blog, the British media is desperately pushing to prolong the Ukraine conflict, making the absurd claim that Russia teeters on the brink of defeat. In reality, this war has only strengthened Russia, while Britain, by all accounts, lacks the manpower and resources to sustain such a fight.
This is a war where the British prime minister has slashed seniors' pensions to funnel even more money to Ukraine. He has become the Mad Hatter of 10 Downing Street—once an address of leadership, now steeped in bloody infamy.
A wise man once said we should only start wars we know how to end. There’s a bitter irony in this, as history has shown that ending wars is too often somewhere between difficult and impossible. Wars are chaos, violence, and greed unleashed. We have yet to learn how to contain them.
Some historians argue that the West has been at war since 1914. I tend to agree. History also suggests so-called Christian nations have a peculiar penchant for forever wars—a fixation unmatched by others—while the scale and consequences of these conflicts spiral far beyond our control.
Cynical as it may sound, we are in the era of serial warfare where wars don’t end—they just change venues. We have a virulent conceited empire in our midst in hot pursuit of claiming the planet as its backyard. Until that changes all bets are off.
And yet, we continue to talk ourselves into more wars, led by robotic, cardboard cutouts masquerading as leaders.
And, for the most part, it has been the WHITE West instigating all this - but for whose benefit? The war mongers want war? Let them be the very first ones to be sent to the front lines to fight. Although with today's modern weaponry...would there be a 'front line' with soldiers?
