Shameless Biden will arrive in Ottawa peddling more wars
Biden will arrive and the usual bromides, platitudes and obsequious behaviors will prevail.
In preparation for writing this blog I tuned into an interview between the CBC’s Rosemary Barton and the US Ambassador David Cohen. I was going to post it here but it was a waste of my time and yours. Barton in the grand CBC style asked shilly shally questions and Cohen prefaced his ambassadorial platitudes by staying he wasn’t going to speculate on his president’s agenda.., at which time Barton giggled. Baron asked creme puff questions and Cohen gave creme puff answers and this was supposed to pass as an interview . It was typical of the state of journalism in Canada —avoid the truth at all cost.
It was another example “paycheck journalism” where if you go anywhere near telling the truth or ask the hard question you lose your job. In Canada we have a few so called progressive media outlets but they treat Canadians as mushrooms; keeping us in the dark and feeding us bullshit. If you want to find out what is really happening you have to go to international sources and thankfully they are there for us.
Yes, US President Joe Biden is arriving in Ottawa for a two day visit this Thursday and Friday. Officially it is about discussing the US/Canada “Security Partnership” but it is really about financing America’s corporatist/imperialist wars on the world.
In Roman times the provinces paid “tribute taxes” so Rome could sustain its empire and pay for its wars.
In the Middle Ages the lords of the manor maintained vast estates by exploiting their serfs who tilled the land and harvested the crops. Today the “lords of the manor” are the multi-billionaire aristocrats whose only god is the endless accumulation wealth.
Not much has changed today as Presidents go about exploiting the “provinces” of the empire to raise money for corporate wars to further corporate profits.
China and Russia happen to be the last two sovereign nations on Earth and the only countries that block full American hegemony over the world. They are owners of vast resources the US wants to seize. Washington some how arrogantly claims the world and everything in it that can be monetized to their advantage as theirs and theirs alone. Its got a name —megalomania— a very delusional past time.
Prosperity for Russia, China and other Eurasian countries means the US and its sociopathic multinational corporations have to take a big financial haircut as the world inevitably moves from being unipolar to multipolar. There is a growing consensus that the only way planet earth can survive is as a multipolar world where nations work collectively based on consensus and reciprocity. No single nation can be be allowed to dominate the world as this is a recipe for global fascism which is a defeatist terminal ideology and Neo-feudalism on a global scale.
In other words the US wants to continue doing what it has been doing for the seventy-five years stealing countries cultures and assets. In this instance, Russia and China united in a defense alliance are more than the US can bite off, and the US is willing to wreck the world trying. All at a time when the world faces other critical issues frozen in time by endless wars.
Even as the US and its minions have lost the war in Ukraine they are preparing for war on China. China is under siege and the US is hoping China will capitulate, which it is unlikely to do. Like Ukraine, the US is using Taiwan as a bait-state for war. As it provokes the war, it must be seen that China actually starts it. Putin called NATO’s bluff, declared his SMO(Special Military Operation) which designated his objectives and carried them out successfully.
Experts agree war between China the US will be catastrophic.
Biden arrives in Ottawa as a discredited leader:
Had NATO agreed to negotiate security agreements with Russia, the Ukraine conflict never would have happened. After the war started it was revealed by Biden himself that the US wanted the war for regime change in Moscow and to weaken Russia.
American led economic sanctions against Russia back fired ruining Europe’s economy. The US calculated the Russian economy would collapse easily, but Russia had already sanction proofed its economy. It is stronger now than it was before the war.
American led NATO vastly under estimated Russia’s ability to sustain effective warfare.
NATO has committed the same egregious blunders it did in Korea, Vietnam and Afghanistan— wars fought half way around the world on other countries home turf are impossible to win.
The US is responsible for the destruction of Ukraine using the country as a proxy to attack Russia.
The Ukraine war had been poorly planned by NATO. Soon after it started NATO was scrambling for funds and weapons. They had to pump in over a 100+ billion dollars.
The Americans cannibalized Europe by blowing up the Nordstream pipelines. US Officials gloated publicly over its destruction when it was a heinous war crime against it own ally and its civilian population.
Over many decades the US has squandered tens of trillions on wars and foreign interventions keeping the world in constant chaos.
Biden will arrive in Canada and the usual bromides, platitudes and obsequious behaviors will prevail. Biden will speak and there will be a clamorous standing ovation from 338 Parliamentarians as Canada’s national disgrace deepens. Where Biden goes everything turns to ash.
