Privatizing Government and War- When one yacht just won't do!

Too many Yachts , like too many war ships, are alarming social indicators.

I am a regular You Tuber as there is an endless amount of fascinating stuff on it and just one of the many reasons there is no TV in our house. It is hazardous to your mental health in too many ways. It will be listed by future historians as one of the primary reasons for the decline and fall of Western civilization, along with cell phones that induce social retardation.

Some time ago I was watching an interview on You Tube with a yacht broker who had been in the business for over thirty years. He noted that his buyers were becoming younger. Where most buyers used to buy in their fifties and sixties, many now were buying in their forties.

I don’t know if the venerable Michael Hudson would agree with me, but I immediately made the connection to neoliberalism, because it is the main reason the world has so many billionaires and multi-billionaires . Neoliberalism is the economic fascist ideology where wealth and plenty of it can be accumulated very quickly and expediently. Neoliberalism is socialism for the very rich and feudalism for everybody else.

When I think of a yacht I ask myself how many jobs were lost, people displaced, assets foreclosed, extortion or outright treachery took place to pay for the boat. The oligarchs of today make the Mafia look like a bunch of third rate pick-pockets.

As it is today one yacht is not enough multiples are often the order of the day and some take on the profile of a pocket battleship.

I could care less about how many yachts they have: but I do care about their ability to buy power, politicians and favor, with I am told, for small change.

But it doesn’t stop there. If they buy up the requisite number of politicians they have have whole governments in their hip pocket. If they have a government in their hip pocket they can buy their own war to steal whole countries, their wealth and resources at bargain basement prices. Ukraine is just one such example.

In other words they privatize both government and war in service to their sociopathic megalomania. These are the well groomed zombies whose only concerns are profits, power and damn the consequences. They are the, shop lifters, the walkaway untouchables who stuff their pockets with cash and head for the door.

The pandemic of today is too many walkaway untouchables.

Lessons learned:

Too much power and money in too few places is a life threatening situation.

Too many yachts means there are a lot more poor people.

Too many yachts means there are lot more poor dead people.

Too many yachts means unpaid taxes.

Too many yachts means no medicare.

Too many wars mean no medicare…

Too many walkaway untouchables and we have a dead planet

and the list goes on ….

Its called the “interconnectivity” of societies, where they actually exist.

I am also certain future historians and economists will have a few words to say about the frequency of yachts in the dying days of Western Civilization and the recreation of Sodom and Gomorrah—just for old times sake.

Just thought I would pass on these idle thoughts on the world as it is.

In the mean time I look forward to hitting the water this weekend in my-one-only trusty kayak.
