Pretentious Trudeau wallowing in his vassalage
Now, a decade later his perpetual political honeymoon is over.
The following blog is testimony to how blatantly Canada’s PM is willing to lie and the Toronto Globe and Mail is willing to repeat those lies.

In these times of unremitting pretense, deceit and betrayal PM Trudeau again plays the role of the fool’s fool wallowing in his vassalage. In a colonized Canada where Washington calls the shots the duplicity and hypocrisy of Canada’s government is a matter of indelible public record even the prestitutes of the mainstream media cannot cover up.
Trudeau pretentiously refers to Canada as a “middle power” when in fact we are one of 31 other NATO vassal states all dancing to Washington’s tune for more and greater wars up to and including nuclear. Western European NATO members have seen their economies devastated by the war against Russia, now lost, and Ukraine in ruins.
"Trudeau opposes allowing Russia to keep ‘an inch’ of Ukrainian territory"— Toronto Globe and Mail, November 26th. To make such a statement is wilful ignorance as their is no way Russia is going to to return the four Eastern provinces as the whole reason Russia launched their SMO (Special Military Operation) was to protect ethnic Russians living in those provinces who were being killed and persecuted by Ukrainian Neo-Nazi militias. There has since been a referendum showing conclusively they want to stay under Russian jurisdiction.
“In nearly two months, Donald Trump will be inaugurated as president of the United States, and he has vowed to swiftly end the war. The president-elect has declined to rule out the possibility that Ukraine may have to cede land to Russia and has been notably vague when discussing the conflict.”— Trump’s ability to bring about peace is already severely compromised as the Biden administration is using the interregnum between presidents to inflame and prolong the hostilities.
The fall of Syria has complicated matters even more as this gives hostilities even more impetus and Trump has to deal with the fact that Netanyahu, the Washington Zionist lobby and Neoconservatives control US foreign policy— the tail is very much wagging the dog.
Presidents and prime ministers suffer their vainglorious irrelevancy.
“Russian President Vladimir Putin spelled out in June what he wanted in order to start peace talks: Ukraine must drop its NATO membership ambitions and hand over the entirety of four provinces claimed by Moscow.” — Trudeau and the Globe and Mail conveniently forget Russia and Ukraine had initialed a peace treaty in April of 2022 and this was sabotaged by an intervention from British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. Even before the war Russia was pursuing negotiated security guarantees which NATO deliberately rejected hoping to provoke a Russian military response.
“Since February, 2022, Canada has committed more than $19.5-billion to Ukraine, including $4.5-billion in military assistance. This includes Leopard 2 main battle tanks, armored combat support vehicles, anti-tank weapons and M777 howitzers” This only affirms once again that this is NATO’s war, Zelensky is its puppet, Ukraine is the sacrificial lamb, and Washington is using the war as a stepping stone on the road to Moscow.
“Of course, like so many different countries, we have citizens asking: Why is it that we are supporting this faraway country that has nothing to do with us in Canada?” Mr. Trudeau told the NATO gathering.” —Trudeau is being completely disingenuous when he poses this question as we are in WW lll. The war is global, hybrid(as economic as it is military). It is East vs West as the hysterical war mongers of the West are desperate to crush both Russia and China and establish their long sought after global hegemony and the global corporate fascism that would ensue. Before delivering his languid falsehoods Trudeau would be wise to refer to a few historical documents starting with the Wolfowitz Doctrine.
“He said that, as a middle power, Canada understands how important it is to protect the rules-based international order, which Moscow has threatened in a way not seen since the Second World War.”— His reference to the RBIO is unfortunate naivety as it is a reference to the lawlessness of the Empire, as it is contemptuous of international law, walking away from treaties and generally makes its own rules to suit it self. It is Antony Blinken’s favorite hat trick to justify war mongering criminality and America’s wayward foreign policy.
“He said Mr. Putin is reintroducing the long-dormant idea that “might makes right” in international relations.” — Here again Trudeau maligns the truth as for the last thirty years of NATO aggression both Russia and China have shown great forbearance. When Putin came to power he applied for NATO membership and was rejected— now we know why and this rejection is now another strategic blunder as NATO could have achieved its goal of dominating Russia peacefully.
Anybody who follows international politics knows that “might makes right” and “divide and conquer” are the hallmarks of the US Empire as it was with the British empire as its fore runner.
“If Russia succeeds in gaining an inch of territory in Ukraine because of their illegal invasion, countries around the world will look at their historical grievances,” he said. They “will look at the fact that perhaps they have a slightly larger military than their neighbor and wonder if it isn’t time now to redraw lines on a map, to violate the UN Charter, as Russia has, to once again destabilize the rules-based order.”— This is absolute balderdash and utterly sophomoric reasoning showing that Trudeau should fire his speech writer when such dim-witted claims are made.
“The prosperity we have had for decades around this world happens because we agreed to rules – and we abided by them even during the Cold War.” — Far from true. The USA was so fortunate as to emerge from WW ll with a powerful economy and was quick to ruthlessly establish global domination. Since the 1990s this dominance has been in sharp decline as other countries have rebuilt and emerged. America is now exhausted from too many wars and too many corruptions. Russia and China do not have imperial ambitions. They simply insist on their right to exist on their own terms.
Business lobby urges Canada to aim for 3 per cent defense spending— Of course Canada’s powerful corporate business lobby promotes militarism as all wars are now corporate wars, for corporate profits, plunder and pillage. They want to see Russia defeated to access its resources.
“Mr. Trudeau’s government has come under renewed criticism in recent days for Canada’s laggardly pace in meeting NATO’s target of spending 2 per cent of GDP on defense. Canada is currently spending about 1.37 per cent on its military.”— The crazy part of the Trump agenda is that he expects all NATO vassals to finance the empire’s wars, while at the same time crippling Canada’s economy with 25% tariffs; even as European NATO member states are stuck with massive debt and ruined economies due to the Ukraine war, and the blowing up of the Nord Stream pipelines by the US— but another war crime.
Last week, Mike Turner, the Republican chair of the U.S. House of Representatives intelligence committee, told Politico that Canada is not paying its fair share for defense. “The Trudeau policies are the freeloading policies of a NATO of decay. If everyone had the policies of Trudeau, there would be no NATO,”Mr. Turner said.— No
The Prime Minister pushed back at such criticism, saying his government has outlined a plan to increase military spending to 2 per cent of GDP by 2032. He tried to redirect the conversation to his political opponents, saying it was former prime minister Stephen Harper who let defense expenditures shrink.— Trudeau plays his usual juvenile blame game by trying to claim its all Harper’s fault. Canada is also on the hook for 88 billion dollars worth of F-35JSFs paid out over the next forty years.
Mr. Trudeau said there is a perception that “right-wing parties tend to invest more in defense,” but “that’s actually been the reverse in Canada.”— More nonsense. In Canada, as in the US all political parties are blindly obligated to dump trillions of dollars into military swindling for endless wars.
Putin says Russia struck Ukraine with experimental ballistic missile— When a security expert was asked why Russia is so far a head of the US in hypersonic missiles— the reply was that the US has been squandering too many billions on manned fighters— over-priced and under-performing (F-35s).
“Defense spending under Mr. Harper dropped investments in defense to well below 1 per cent of GDP,” he said. “They were very good with photo ops and waving the flags. They were not so good in making necessary investments.” — We were not in WW lll at that time.
He ended his speech by arguing against isolationism, which would see Western countries shrink from their obligations to traditional allies, including Ukraine.— Another fatuous claim as the West with its forever wars is self-isolating as the rest of the world moves on to a new more just multipolar world centered on BRICS.
Trudeau and so many other nitwitted Western “leaders” forget the West only speaks for 12% of the world’s population and the world opinion is solidly against the West’s endless wars, appalling genocides, and outrageous interventions.
“People are saying: ‘Let’s take care of the affordability crisis first. Let’s deal with some of the challenges that people are facing in their daily lives,’” he said.
“Citizens are anxious. When people are anxious, the temptation is to hunker down, hide out, huddle with your family, hope the storm blows over.”— Its actually the political classes who are hunkered down in corporate capture and have betrayed the populations they are sworn to serve.
Western politicians are no more than adjutants to the criminal war mongers they serve with no questions asked, overseeing the cannibalization of their national economies and the gutting of their social structures.
But “unless we stand strong, political pressures are going to continue to undermine the case for investing in the NATO alliance, for investing in defense of Ukraine, for investing in the rules-based order.”— All three of the above have proven to be fraudulent “investments”. Schmuck that he is Trudeau fails to realize war is also revelation and the Ukraine war has revealed how purely rotten is the empire to its very core.
It is interesting that the article in the Globe and Mail switches over to a report from Fox News as the mouthpiece of the Empire has the last word and how Trudeau parrots the empire’s propaganda …
In an interview with Fox News Sunday, Mike Waltz, Mr. Trump’s pick for national security adviser, said the president-elect has been “very concerned” about an escalation in the fighting between Russia and Ukraine and that the war must be brought “to a responsible end.”— Waltz is a neoconservative war-hawk, typical of too many in Trump’s cabinet. Like too many others he is all for war against China.
Mr. Waltz noted the involvement of North Korea and Iran in the conflict, Russia’s use of a hypersonic ballistic missile and a decision by some Western countries to let Ukraine fire their missiles deep into Russia. He said South Korea was considering whether to get involved, too.— Incorrect! — South Korea’s pro US prime minister wanted to comply with Washington’s request to manufacture and send 155mm artillery shells to Ukraine. His left wing parliament revolted when he tried to override them and he is now under impeachment.
“What we need to be discussing is who’s at that table, whether it’s an agreement, an armistice, how to get both sides to the table, and then what’s the framework of a deal,” Mr. Waltz said.— This would be diplomacy, and the lack there of on the part of Washington is the very reason the world is on such tenterhooks.
As stated this war would have ended in 2022 had the US had any regard for diplomatic solutions. It only speaks the language of war.
The truth of the matter is that all 32 NATO vassal states, including the USA under Biden and soon Trump, are being cannibalized by a dying empire seated in Washington run by Netanyahu, his powerful Zionist lobby and neoconservatives. Both Trump and Trudeau are the empire’s vassals, with Trump being the bullish drill sergeant keeping the vassals in line. NATO governments on both sides of the Atlantic are trapped in the vortex of the empire’s decline, with no remission in sight. Forever wars are the empire’s death rattle. The longer the wars continue the darker the future becomes especially for the exhausted and self-isolating West.
History is all about the dire consequences of war; yet we are blindly led into them time after time, until it is one war too many.
For his part Trudeau played his role as lackey to the empire next door. He was well cast for the role as he was a mediocre Member of Parliament, vaulting to the leadership on his father’s name and Liberals who thought boyish good looks and a brand name qualified him for the PMO. His brash impertinence forced a better qualified candidate out of the race.
His caucus should have ousted him as leader, but put their job security and pensions came ahead of political integrity and the national interest. Now a decade later his perpetual political honeymoon is over.
Like so many other Western leaders he is taking a hard fall for his maladroit leadership when whole societies need it most.
A 'chip of the old block'...he never was.
The "Democratization" of Georgia has failed!
You would think that every attempt at regime change would produce something tenable for the citizens of the targeted countries.
Well the same has been done to Canada: a wholesale change in the fabric of Canadian society without the merest morsel of "democracy" expressed, yet many Canadians have become belligerent, bellicose and immensely cowardly, without even a flicker of self-reflection. In sum, hateful and disparaging of the "other".
Pierre: 1981 in front of the White House, standing with Raygun and Wife (both bracing for Pierre's wrath) after Ronnie had told him Canada isn't spending enough on NATO:
"The talk of Canada not spending enough on NATO is pure bull-oney!"
