One war too many... lest we forget
How many wars is one too many? Let's be honest with ourselves for once!
Our flaky politicians won’t ask the question so we must- How many wars are one too many?
It appalls me that the people who support this war are the least informed on it. They do so as victims of propaganda. They suffer the pack mentality that is part of every war, and they practice willful ignorance rather than making any effort to understand it.
I do not claim any special insight into what is happening but I am in a position to have followed this war in detail from the outset. I know what has been said and done and I have seen the truth subverted on too many occasions. As we all know “truth is the first victim of war”. It may be the first, but after the wounds heal it comes back with a vengeance.
War is many things to many people, but it is powerful revelation. War is the culmination of the treachery leading up to it and it is exposed for all willing to see it. The false prophets are exposed and true prophets marginalized by waves of propaganda and indifference.
We decry the destruction of Ukraine at the hands of the Russians when we are seeing the old, old story repeated so many times in so many ways in so many countries. Ukraine is no more than another pawn sacrifice in NATO’s imperialist adventurism. Where the Ukraine president is lauded for his “Churchillian” virtue he should be condemned for the destruction of his country as a stooge of imperialist war mongers.
Any discussion of imperialism and its synonym Neo-colonization are taboo terms but they are defining issues of our time. Their absence takes the measure of how profoundly we are being deceived.
We see the war on the evening news. It is short censored sound bites inserted between copious commercials, a wrenching incongruity that destroys lucid understanding lacking context and objectivity. Naked lies and deceptions are foisted on us.
The war mongers must inculcate that we only have short term memory, think in sound bites and buy the toxic soap they are trying to sell. We are bombarded by the cretinous credo — we are the good and virtuous while they are ugly barbarians. We allow our humanity to be stolen by the fallacious false prophets with their slimy tongues.
War is institutional collapse up to and including democracy and freedom of the press, the cornerstones of our alleged democracies. It is no secret Western democracies are on the wane over the past several decades as proven historical fact— war comes so easily when democracy is debased. Truth can so easily be suppressed when the press has sold it’s soul, owned and controlled by profiteering war mongers. Where democracy is debased fascism emerges out of the shadows— just as it did in WW ll.
War is about refugees, millions of the them, rooted up from their home lands and having to beg safe haven on foreign shores.
War is about the weaponization of every under the sun where wars become hybridized, fought on many levels, in many ways, both openly and covertly. What we are allowed to see on the battlefield is just the tip of the iceberg. Secrecy and deceit become sacrosanct.
This war is about militarism gone berserk. Militarism is a global pandemic where the acquisition of weapons goes beyond the reasonable needs of any countries need to defend itself. It is no longer defense of the homeland. It is about sustaining perpetual war for perpetual profiteering.
The US State Department should actually be called the Department of Capricious Foreign Interventions(DCFI). Where so many Americans wish their government would stay home and mind its own business, it frolics among the ruins of too many countries destroyed.
War is about escalation which NATO has done from the outset determined to make Russia for pay for what it had to do, given NATO’s arrogant intransigence one year ago. Then the doddering US President tours Poland and Japan revealing the true agenda of this war— regime change in Moscow and weakening Russia, with China next in line-lest we forget!
Now Ukraine is losing the war. Suddenly it is no longer NATO’s war even though they have had boots on the ground and waged mercenaries in Ukraine from day one. They have invested tens of billions in arms and logistics to support the war. They are sending in state of the art tanks, yet they claim are not party to the war.
What will NATO have to say when it has to send in its own troops? Will the mothers and fathers of sons and daughters in the US, Canada, and Europe suddenly have some thing to say?
This war is about spin. NATO is the chameleon changing its colors so quickly a high speed camera cannot keep up with it. Stoltenberg as the Mad hatter of NATO has run out of identities. Retirement will be his next.
This war is about redrawing maps. Redrawing maps is a very expensive business. Every time world maps are redrawn human tragedy has taken place. Redrawing maps is a profound social indicator of lurid behaviors requiring redress.
Just as the Greeks learned too many centuries ago, wars are Pyrrhic, there are no winners, just losers.
No, we don’t have to worry about an extraterrestrial invasion. Their reconnaissance trips tell them not to bother. We are just beating ourselves to death.
War is the slandering of history, who we are, where we have been and where we are going as we stand down it is stolen before our eyes wide shut.
