On Matters of Choice, Change, and Chance in a Rapidly Evolving World
Political leaders of the collective West are like dinosaurs trapped in the tar pits, clinging to the failed ideologies of the 20th century.
Choices
In a world that shifts like sands, Choices rest in trembling hands. The rush of time, a ceaseless stream, Shaping paths we dare to dream.
Yet in the chaos, calm may gleam, A quiet voice, a guiding beam. To choose with care, to stand and strive, Is how we keep our souls alive.
For in the blur of swift disguise, Our choices frame the truth that lies. In fleeting moments, wisdom’s seed, Grows the future from each deed— Aurora Quill
Brickwork for the soul Once, upon a closer look, Chaos becomes clarity, Clarity becomes understanding, Understanding becomes epiphany, Epiphany is, Brickwork for the soul. -- author
Readers of History’s Parrot are well aware of my ire directed at politicians. They are in my view the casualties of their own follies inflicted upon us. Needless to say politics never has and never will be a perfect trade, but given the complex and demanding times we live in the standards must be raised. We excel in technological advancements, demonstrating pure genius in innovation. Yet, when it comes to governance and acting in a sane, sensible, and just manner, we fall woefully short.
I recall the numerous wars, the endless corruptions, the assassinations of the worthy and how slyly democracy and oaths of office have been bastardized out of existence. I revere history’s “Hall of Fame” for the those who have in their time made a better world.
Politics must be done better than ever and its practitioners, we must insure, have “the right stuff”. Of any calling or profession politicians are not required to have suitable or related skills and are the least credentialed. When I call my doctor, lawyer or plumber I know the job is going to get done. With politicians prevarication and duplicity reign supreme. Bribery is openly condoned and left unchallenged.
Politics in the feeble-minded collective West is conducted as a rah-rah sporting event where fraudsters wander about in expensive suits, insipid ties and white shirts. They shabbify the business suit as the uniform of the damned. The “business” of government becomes the carnival of hucksters, hustlers and grifters, cash in hand passing under too many tables. As masters of the sound bite and platitude, they claim to be leaders. Most prominently, they are the courtesans to the vested interests and war mongers who own their souls— bought and paid for.
They destroy choice, murder change, and abuse chance. They foster calamity where they should be promoting serendipity.
We live in times where they pretend to know everything and know nothing. They are stooges for a barbarous status quo. They pretend to know and obstinately refuse to learn, fixated in time as deadened effigies in the quick sand of time and eternity.
In the pesky feeble-minded West we cannot stand to see others succeed where we have failed.
Where there is no choice, there is no change and futures are left to chance. Governments simply become suppressive and regressive. We like to scapegoat China and Russia as threats and dangerous enemies when in fact the enemy is with in and it is ourselves. Forty years ago these two countries , among others, opted for peace, prosperity and better futures. The triumphalist West opted for more wars, berserk militarism and more imperialism. In fact, as the West devolves, the East evolves.
It is a sad day when whole societies are programmed with a xenophobic hatred for others to justify corporate wars for corporate profits
While failure may seem like a setback, it serves as a sounding board for new visions and future success. With real leadership as an essential component, failure builds resilience, fosters growth, and equips us with the wisdom and experience to improve and thrive. People, societies, and civilizations can never be static, but always must be progressive and dynamic.
Our political classes spend too much time pretending to “know” and too little time “learning". They only know war and moral destitution. They perform the Danse Macabre, dragging behind them the carcasses of their failed pipe dreams and decadent ideologies.
Dogma says, 'Don't think, just obey.' Progress says, 'Think deeply and grow.’—Aurora Quill

It certainly is, Robert. But the western house of cards is falling internally and internationally, and those of us who can see that have to seize this moment and create the kind of democratic, healthy and caring societies we want.
Here's someone who will be running in the upcoming federal election who gives me hope. https://www.voteavi.ca/?utm_campaign=avilewis_ca&utm_medium=email&utm_source=vcndp

It is also a sad day when whole societies are programmed for fealty towards one bigoted group over the support of a country's sovereignty.
If Avi is for real he will advocate for the removal of Canada's "Anti-Semitism Law" that has criminalized the criticism of Zionists, Israelis and Jews, but says nothing about the Anti-Semitism the Israel Occupying Forces perpetrating GENOCIDE upon the actual Semites of the Levant: the PALESTINIANS.
Will he also advocate for the prosecution of the Medical and Media industries leaders and execs for the execution of the greatest attempt at MASS MURDER by tyranny over the CoronaPrank, and the unprecedented contiguous mass theft of Public Assets?
If not, he cannot be voted for.
