Readers might find I harp a lot on NATO when it comes to the degenerate gaggle of war mongering buffoons who populate the dark halls of NATO headquarters in Brussels Belgium. As a glass palace dedicated to waging war on the world very little sweetness or light penetrates its transparent catacombs of endless militarism, wars and genocide.
I don’t know how many of you know of BRICS and its reason for being? It is all about waging peace, prosperity and reciprocity. NATO is all about waging war, the trillions of dollars spent on war, and the trillions more of our tax dollars it would like to spend on war.
It is well worth watching the above video as BRICS is everything NATO is not. BRICS was formed in 2006 as a key component in the emerging multipolar world order. Nations the world over are rushing to join BRICS to escape the extortion racket NATO and its 32 member states have been running for too long.
I don’t how many of you still have the silly notion NATO is a defense alliance when it fact is an extortion racket. To support NATO is to support more wars and genocide as that is the business they are in. Witness the Ukraine war and the Gaza genocide. These are all sponsored by the fiendish folks at NATO ripping off our tax dollars for more war.
We can always count on the CBC to not tell us the whole truth, but Canada’s purported “diplomatic isolation” demands being seen in a much larger context. Of course “diplomatic isolation” is a veiled threat of ostracization, getting kicked out of the club, away from the pack— and of course NATO is all about the pack mentality as thirty-one member nations see their bones picked clean. Washington as the Alpha wolf is deeply in debt and begging for cash for more wars.
After seeing its economy ruined by the Ukraine war and the blowing up of the Nord Stream pipeline Western Europe still doesn’t realize what supporting NATO is costing it. It was so thoroughly stupid to go to war against Russia a major trading partner and energy supplier. In terms of chess they are they empire’s pawn sacrifice and apparently willing to continue in this dubious role. Many concerned citizens are waiting for the day Europe wakes up the fact of how thoroughly it is being screwed over by the empire.
Any monies going to NATO is a guarantee of more wars and genocides, fewer social services like Canada’s failing Medicare, more moral depravity, and more politicians giving standing ovations to war mongers.
NATO has a few headaches of its own:
Turkey, its second largest member, has just quit and is on its way to joining BRICS. Turkey never qualified for NATO but it was made a member to piss off Russia, just like Ukraine was used as a proxy to wage war on Russia.
Where NATO fraudulently plays the role of peacemaker, it is actually playing a very dangerous game of brinkmanship attempting to provoke Russia into a greater world war. Analysts are saying we are closer to nuclear war than we have ever been.
NATO Has clearly lost the war in Ukraine. It is desperate to further escalate the war as it can not be seen as losing another war, especially to Russia, which has been its ordained scapegoat and whipping boy for the past 30 years— for every crime of the empire there has to be somebody to blame it on.
The loss in Ukraine comes after 20 years in Afghanistan, 2.3 trillion dollars spent and the Taliban is back in power.
The pressure Canada is under to increase spending is a flagrant lie and has little to do with so called peace and security. NATO is holding the world hostage to its endless wars attempting to prevent the emergence of a more just world order. As the pie chart below shows the West is in a minority position worldwide but makes the revanchist claim to ruling the world as it holds the world hostage to this fraudulent claim.
It is tragic Western nations are so isolated from the global mainstream and the dynamic changes taking place. The world order is in constant flux and unstoppably so. We like to see ourselves as the mainstream when we are only one of many global cultures. We are not fighting to sustain our freedoms; but the right of powerful corporations, oligarchs and ideologues to control the world as their totalitarian state.

They turn to authoritarianism and incessant propaganda to block out the larger world as they are losing of the narrative they once controlled. 1.)Diplomatic Isolation- As a NATO member Canada already suffers an acute case of diplomatic isolation. Our foreign and military policies are deeply integrated to those of the US. To claim Canada has anything resembling an independent foreign policy and is a player on the world stage is utterly pretentious. Canada is not only a member of NATO but also NORAD, the G7 and other bodies all dominated by the US. Our Foreign Affairs department has on many occasions acted as agents for US foreign policy.
2.) The Business Council of Canada — is Canada’s most powerful lobby representing 170 Canadian corporations/businesses. It has often been referred to as the governments “shadow cabinet,” especially so in these times where corporate power has usurped the role of government and foreign wars are to the sole benefit of transnational of corporations.
They are more than happy to promote militarism and “defense” because it is the taxpayers, not them, who pay for endless wars. Neoliberal corporations are masters at externalizing debt and their social obligations on to the public purse: while they vacuum up the wealth of nations, bribe politicians and receive monstrous subsidies and tax concessions.
3.) NATO Meets in full disgrace — NATO is the bloodied wolf in sheep’s clothing so brazen as to show its face in public. They meet and summit in a months time. These are the puerile pep rallies for more war in full disgrace and suffering its fatal conceits.
