If populations of the West see our standard of living dropping look no further than NATO and the MICC. They are the biggest fraud ever perpetrated on the world.
As long as NATO and Washington’s Military Industrial Congressional Complex(MICC) rule the West domestic economies will continue to be gutted.
Bully empires seeing the world only through the lens of war and violence have dismal futures.

NATO has no place in today’s world. America has made the most monstrous miscalculation in world history. Over the last half century they have spent trillions of dollars building the world's biggest army, navy and air force with over 800 bases spanning the world. The problem for the USA is the future of the world is being decided economically where the multipolar world is emerging and it is all about trade pacts, reciprocity, rapprochement, new alliances and building infrastructure .
Of course the pathetic Western media doesn't report any of this.
While Washington wages war, the rest of world is waging peace and prosperity for better futures.
Militarism doesn't get the job done, peace, civility and good will do.

There was a time in Canadian politics when we actually had politicians and a political party opposing NATO’s existence. Politicians have gone totally silent on the issue and now it is recognized as the most dangerous military alliance on the planet .
Jens Stoltenberg, current Secretary General of NATO opposed it as a young man— Interesting how money and power change minds! Stoltenberg now draws a 300,000 dollar salary for his services. When Joe Biden first ran for Congress he opposed the Vietnam war. Now he is being indicted as the most corrupt US president ever and on a mission to rule the world following the edicts of his neocon mentors. There is speculation his son, Hunter might be spending the rest of his life in prison. For both father and son too much illicit money has changed hands.
NATO has spent the last half century waging war on the world squandering trillions of dollars and losing every one of them, except where it bombs the hell out of countries like Serbia and Libya having no means to defend themselves. Its wars spawn millions of refugees looking for new homes, and when they arrive in Canada there are no homes for them— it seems we forgot to built them for the last 20 years, even though we are admitting a million refugees every year. Now Canadians are becoming “mortgage refugees” as ballooning interest rates are rendering them homeless.
While NATO’s reign of terror marched on, China and Russia were rebuilding their economies and China emerges as the world’s largest economy, which has a certain logic to it as it also has the largest population, second only to India. China’s rise was inevitable as it had so much support from the USA. It shipped its industrial base to China where cheap labor would yield handsome profits for US corporations.
In other words, while NATO was waging war on the world China, Russia, et al were building peace and prosperity. They want nothing to do with war as they have both suffered the ravages of war and revolution for centuries.
They know when enough is enough.
With the rise of China and BRICs the American dream of global hegemony is a bust balloon and its only response is to be the sore loser waging war on a world that was never theirs; wars they cannot afford when they should be rebuilding their own economy and culture and taking its place in the emerging multipolar world.
NATO is the bile of the West, the manifestation of the sore loser, hooked on war and self-immolation. As it is determined to weaken China and Russia it weakens itself. It still cannot grasp the concept of Pyrrhic wars fought in ancient Greece.
The visceral hatred the West reserves for Russian and Chinese is pure spite as they are counterpoint to the West’s failures. Where America wanted Russia as a puppet regime Putin is a nationalist who has rebuilt Russia for Russians. Similarly, China was supposed to be America’s supplier of cheap Labor, but the Chinese have built China for the Chinese practicing a reciprocal capitalism, opposed to US predatory capitalism.
Both Russia and China are driving forces in the emerging multipolar world where new alliances are being formed and old antagonisms mitigated. Country after country is embracing multipolarity because it is a win-win for everybody where reciprocity and rapprochement prevail.
For the West the enemy is not on foreign shores, the enemy is within and it is our sworn allegiance to predatory capitalism, it wars, and militarism. We exist as no more than a military junta with NATO and the MICC cannibalizing our societies.
In his 1960 farewell address President Dwight D. Eisenhower warned of the MICC and its parasitic influence on government. Sixty-three years later it remains the greatest threat to world peace. Cold War One was no more than a ploy to instill the fear of communism at home and to justify horrendous military spending and more wars .
China and Russia are not the enemy. They are counterpoints to our own failure to recognize how deeply and profoundly war savages our societies, and how easily our leadership fall into being children of spite. They want what is not theirs to have and out of spite are willing to burn down the whole house.
Arrogance, and the claim of being “exceptional” are no more than fear of being discovered inadequate.
If populations of the West see our standard of living dropping and inflation sky rocketing look no further than NATO and MICC. They are picking our pockets on a daily basis. They are the biggest fraud ever perpetrated on the world.
