Imagining a Better World
The Collective West has a better world to rebuild. The longer intractable wars persist the more elusive it becomes. Imagining a better world can no longer be a pipe dream, we must make it a reality.
My greatest wish for young people today is that they do not accept the world today as a permanent status quo. This is one of the reasons I write what I do. When I speak of the world today I refer mainly to the Collective West (CW) as that is where I have lived my life and the part of the world I know best.
The CW today is a very dysfunctional part of the world community and a small minority within the larger community. It has assumed ownership of the rest of the world such that it sees all other nations as squatters on its territory. It assumes it can play by its own rules disregarding all others. It assumes the right to punish all others not in step with its despotic doctrines. It refuses to accept a multi-polar world where it is among the world’s great nations but not the dominant one.
Its claims of being “exceptional” and “indispensable” are fatuous as it denigrates the existence of all other nations, many of them older, wiser and more civil.
It has abandoned its own population(its family) like a parent chasing a delusional dream leaving a trail destruction in its wake.
I was born into a post war world. It had been the most devastating war ever fought. I grew up with stories of the war and the great battles fought. My first memory of war was to hear reports of the Korean War as a grade one student.
As a prairie boy I grew up in a peaceful kingdom where freedom was mile after mile of rolling prairie, a gigantic playground.
But as we get older innocence is lost and we see the shadow lands cast on our existence and the real world in all its complex dimensions shows itself .
Our consciousness is raised as the tumult of the world and its flawed and violent existence is revealed to us. It eventually becomes so staggering and overwhelming we become passive victims in an age of denialism.

As it stands now the world is in tumult. It appears the war in Ukraine is coming to an end. Russia is the winner of a war recklessly provoked by NATO. This is world war three, a hybrid war fought in many ways, on many fronts. As the Ukrainian front cools the China front is going to heat up. The imperialist West has had its eyes on China for over a hundred years. China is the prize the West has long sought after. Now is too late as China is beyond being carved up by defunct Western imperialists.
Now we are on standby, an interlude, where we wait to see if the NATO is going attack China. To its great credit China has shown great forbearance in face of America’s psychotic obsession for war in the East, as it has just lost in the West. The US has China under siege where most of its military assets are deployed for war against China. If there is a war between China and the US/NATO the Ukraine will become a minor skirmish.

As WW lll moves on we must consider the collateral damage done on the home front, especially so when war is a weapon of mass distraction, as a cover, and resulting from abject political and ideological failures. The West must wake up to the fact we are governed by failed ideologies pursued by reckless irresponsible elites who have betrayed Western populations and shaken Western Civilization to its very foundations.
WW lll is not about China and Russia as the global bad boys. It is about America as the global bad boy refusing to take responsibility for what it has done to itself; greed, corruption, endless wars and bad policy decisions over many decades. We are witnessing the apotheosis of a failing empire as dictated by the cycles of history.
Mother earth is littered with the ruins of former empires which are inherently unstable as they are built by fallible Man. No exceptions and no scapegoating allowed.
The US is scapegoating Russia and China for its own failures, just as they too are vulnerable to the cycles of history. The rise and fall of empires is the pulse of history-we can influence it but never control it to our liking. Our fallibility insures the inevtible collapse of empires.
America has accelerated its decline through its incessant belligerence directed at the world community.

While bombs of every type and megatonnage drop else where around the world the Collective West over the last eighty years has been carpet bombed by social fragmentation bombs. Now the wreckage is there for all to behold, though the wreckage is of mind, spirit and attitude. It is also institutional as empire erodes democracy it collapses.
The west has fallen victim to the necessities of maintaining empire and these are the insidious effects, creeping up on us outside our consciousness over many decades.
In the graphic above there are 10 ideologies of my choosing the Collective West refuses to address. I use the analogy of a fragmentation bomb as they burst and spread hundred of little bomb-lets over a wide area, just as these ideologies have come to permeate our societies and fragment them.
As I write and follow events I find there is a profound denialism drowning us. The very things destroying us are stricken from our political and social dialogues and become forbidden subjects for a derelict MSM infantilizing us with clumsy lies and half truths as required to sustain the tyranny. Whole societies suffer psychic solitary confinement divorced from the realities and the forces shaping our perceptions of the world. We are out of step with the larger world, trapped in the maw of empire with all of its insatiable criminal appetites.
When the Collective West embarked on ruthless capitalism (neoliberalism) it also embarked on ruthless warfare against the world community and now the chickens come home to roost. The very ponderable question when is it going to quit its intractable wars and come to its senses.
Wars are never solutions. They are reckless and inhuman social devastation. The effects of which ripple through our societies for decades afterward. Where the USA suffers a caveman mentality thinking wars are for winning, China and Russia have seen their share of wars and revolutions over hundreds of years. They know too well wars are for losers and fascists.
The Collective West has a better world to rebuild. The longer intractable wars persist the more elusive it becomes. Imagining a better world can no longer be a pipe dream we must make it a reality.
As long as the US holds almost the entire world as hostage I don't see humanity advancing towards peace.
My gf is in the process of helping me put my “course” on Thinkific. My course is designed to ponder all of the questions you raise and to provide a roadmap as to how to overcome these problems.
