Globalization as the Ultimate Atrocity
After the shock of the atrocities and the crimes of the monsters we must clean up the crime scenes, establish context, and prepare for the future.
Preface
Many, many years ago I opened the car door for my very young daughter. She hesitated for a moment and said we had to wait for her friend to get in. Her friend was the doll she was grasping. Decades later I have adopted a very good friend. As pictured above she is my adopted goddess of Context. I recommend her as being a very good friend to us all. Context is a very effective coping device in these dark times.
She visits often and is essential to my well being as she gives the gift of context to our times and she is sister to Truth and Justice. All three sisters have been having a rough go of it at the hands of the bloody Globalists.
She is a close ally of History and the two walk hand in hand to our immense benefit, especially in these dark times.
Every time I open a book or read a good article I get to visit her and her calm rational nature transmitted by worthy scribes.
Knowing History and Context are essential to our times and building better futures.
There is no shortage of books on globalization and neoliberalism, the latter being the operating system of the former. Most of the books focus on the economic aspects of these societal wrecking balls. But one that stands out above all others is Zygmunt Bauman’s: Globalization, The Human Consequences. It is written from a sociological view point where so many others are steeped in economics. His book is a slim 128 pages, but content rich and is heavily referenced to other scholars who have laid the foundations for his penetrating insights .
In his book another big “C” word comes to prominence and it is “Consequences.” He lucidly defines the human consequences of globalization, as our elites are practicing the very dangerous pathology of having no regard for consequences.
Bauman outlines for us how the globalists have created a cyber heaven for themselves and consequently a hell for everybody else, Their world is separate and apart from ours parasitically created to sustain and expand their wealth.
As early as the 1970’s Canada’s NDP party(social democratic, now defunct as a casualty of neoliberalism) leader David Lewis published a book the Corporate Welfare Bums. It documents the alarming control corporations were coming to have over government. The corporations externalized their costs and debt on to government and privatized wealth and profit for themselves.
Decades later corporate control over government is replete, and so effective that even during the Covid pandemic corporations were making record profits and not the least bit shy of milking government for Covid relief subsidies. Government serves as the purser of the corporate welfare state.
In 2015 economist Michael Hudson published his book Killing the Host: How Financial Parasites and Debt Bondage Destroy the Global Economy. Where Lewis’ book was from a national perspective, Hudson writes from a global perspective. Where Lewis’ book can be seen as preliminary cautionary, Hudson’s is a full report from the crime scene.
Bauman and Hudson can be seen as brothers, arm in arm. Each framing the big picture from their respective disciplines, both speaking with empowering authority and essential insight.
The astounding hypocrisy of the globalists is that they scorn and vilify socialism but have walled off a socialist, parasitic corporate welfare state to serve themselves. They steal the wealth of nations and use government as “policemen” to keep the peasantry under control. It is no coincidence there is an ongoing crackdown on civil liberties, rights and freedoms, and university presidents being browbeaten by pipsqueak members of the US for congress for not suppressing pro-Palestinians supporters. President after president pointed out they still maintain freedom of speech on their campuses.

We have two ongoing atrocities in Ukraine and Gaza. The true context of both is buried under lies and propaganda; the consequences of both will be with us for a very long time, with the potential for more looming large. Globalists are locked in their delusional “invincible present” which they feel they can manipulate to their liking with a criminal disregard for consequences . Rabid ideologues are not concerned with outcomes only serving their insatiable megalomanical appetites— Hitler’s 1000 year Third Reich was crushed in less than a decade.

Bauman’s writing is much in the spirit of the invocation to“think globally and act locally.” He outlines for us how the present world order has been“liquefied” in favor of the globalists and their deregulated, privatized world, of endless wealth and absolute power. They have created a parasitic cyber socialist heaven in service to their every wish and desire. The other 99% need not apply for membership.
The atrocities they are presently committing serve to consolidate and feather their nests at our expense. There is nothing random or capricious about present atrocities they are part of their longstanding obsession to establish global hegemony. Ukraine and Gaza are calculated sacrifices on the altar of globalist hegemony. They are local conflicts with very liquid global consequences; the patterned ruthlessness of the globalist greed and avarice.
When Netanyahu initiated this genocide it was a carefully calculated undertaking. He knew he had Washington in his hip pocket. He knew the propagandist Western media would mitigate his atrocity. He knew puppet Western governments would shilly-shally as they usually do. He knew he could act with impunity as globalists make their own law pursuing their moral penury.
He knew he could hide context, ignore consequences and be the bloody butcher…the modus operandi for globalists.

Well said. We are racing toward a clash of titans. All one needs to do is look at Gaza or Donbas to understand just how little concern the globalist class has for those of us they see as in the way of what they covet.
