Flirting with the Doomsday Clock

“ A cautious leader may realize the dangers and hold back, whereas an arrogant and insouciant leader convinced of “exceptional” America’s divine mission to lead the world may believe what he or she wants to believe and forge ahead into the perilous unknown, under the impression of possessing the facts and foreseeing the future.”
—Diana Johnstone, From MAD to Madness, Clarity Press, Kindle Edition
As a citizen of the West I am supposed to keep my mouth shut, toe the party line and sing praises to the Western Civilization that has allowed me a very good life. I was very fortunate to be born into my generation and a citizen of the country in which I dwell. But the buck stops there, as I am appalled at the changes in the world I have seen in my life time.
I grew up in a post war world where there was promise for the future, good education freely available jobs of choice and the right to easily own a home. We were living the American Dream that ended with the assassination of of John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King and others in the 1960’s
Having an interest in history and politics I saw, as did many others, dark clouds were gathering. The 20th Century was the most tumultuous in human history and there was hope the 21st would see some improvement. Instead it has gotten worse and this is largely because there are Western despots determined to ruin the 21st as they did the 20th.
I am an expatriate in my own country as I refuse to condone its irresponsible behaviors towards my fellow citizens and the cowardly role it is playing in world affairs. We are a country that once stood for peace and civility. We now condone perpetual war and the drift toward global fascism.
My first loyalty is to the world at large as it is where the truth must prevail. We can no longer attach ourselves to the propagandist lies, treacheries, and wars propagated by the Collective West. We must see the world as it is. That means understanding the world with an objective view point not through bleary eyed zombie politicians, vested interests, demented ideologues, and despicable war mongers.
There must be accountability for even the most powerful….
“The common sense of mankind demands that law shall not stop with the punishment of petty crimes by little people. It must also reach men who possess themselves of great power and make deliberate and concerted use of it to set in motion evils which leave no home in the world untouched. It is a cause of that magnitude that the United Nations will lay before Your Honors”—Judge Robert H Jackson, presiding over the Nuremburg War Crimes Tribunal ,1945

Living life under the doomsday clock is hell on earth. It came into being in 1947 with the advent of the nuclear age. Since that time it has gotten closer and closer to midnight. Regardless, there is a leadership vacuum, economic and social decay, and the constant threat of greater wars.
It is not the fault of Russia and China. They have existed as handy scapegoats for too long. More accurately, they refuse to be subjugated by Western imperialists-- of course “imperialism” is a taboo word in our time even though is a root cause of our global crisis
Further more, they can see the folly the West has created for ourselves and want no part of it.
The Collective West is doing a grand job of self-immolation, with no shortage of accelerants turning it all into a raging inferno of chaos.
This is our crisis, as in we being the Collective West, have wrapped ourselves in the cloak of delusional behaviors ranging from too many wars, a ruinous and ruthless capitalism, allowed our democracies to decay, and our social morality is dead in the gutters as we try to lie our way out of a deepening existential crisis of our own manufacture.
Issac Newton was a very smart man. He saw early on that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. For everything that happens on there is reaction and consequences. Blathering Western leaders make the imbecilic assumption there are no consequences to their actions.

How long will the nuclear nightmare last?
America is the world’s sole superpower pursuing full global hegemony. Until such time it renounces its stated goal of world supremacy the nuclear nightmare will continue.
What about Russia and China?
Russia and China have nuclear arsenals with Russia having by far the largest. For both countries having nuclear weapons is for defensive purposes in response to America’s pursuit of Full Spectrum Dominance over the last seventy years.
America is an interventionist/ imperial warfare state and the nuclear response of other nations is a defensive necessity.
Russia is a much smaller country than the US whose ace in the hole is its nuclear arsenal. (To claim that Russia has imperial ambitions is pure nonsense. There is no historical evidence to support this propaganda). If it did not have a nuclear deterrent it would have been over run long ago. History shows us time and again western imperialists have wanted to conquer Russia and China for no other reason than greed and absolute power.
The American government is acting on advice from the Rand Corporation it must check China’s growth by 2025 otherwise it will be too late. This should come as no surprise as China, part of Eurasia, represents the vast majority of the world’s population while America only speaks for a mere 12%( including NATO member states).
Why is the USA focused on destroying China and Russia?
The two countries are the only two in the world who enjoy full sovereignty and exist outside America’s sphere of influence. They also have growing economies while America’s economy is stagnant. America’s multinational corporations are desperate to control the assets and resources of both countries and are more than willing to hold the world hostage to their delusional megalomania.
By going to war against Russia and China the US is in contempt of fundamental international law—every country has a right to its own existence.
As American Journalist Diana Johnstone points out in the end notes to her father’s memoir:
“In reality, Russia is targeted not for what it has done, but like the mountain that must be climbed “because it is there”, Russia must be opposed simply because it is there. China suffers from the same fault. It is big, “re-emerging”, independent: another potential rival that must be held in check”.
Who is most likely to resort to the first use of nuclear weapons?
There is much speculation surrounding a possible nuclear confrontation between Russia and NATO/USA. History tells us who is most likely to go nuclear first.
In 1945 US President Harry S. Truman was meeting with Joseph Stalin. The meeting was interrupted by an urgent phone advising Truman the world’s first nuclear bomb had been successfully tested as part of the Manhattan Project. He was delighted and made the comment, “Now we can do what we want.” Many years Later in 1992 with the collapse of the USSR Paul Wolfowitz(Under Secretary of State) made a similar comment, “Now we can use our military with impunity”. These two comments were defining moments as harbinger’s leading to both Cold War One and Cold War Two, lead in up to what is now World War Three.
Under the Woflowitz and Bush Doctrines America claimed the absurd right to wage preemptive war wherever and whenever it sees fit to maintain its global dominance. Where the USA claims to promote democracy globally, history shows us otherwise.
At the end of World War Two America was the one country not devastated. It was prosperous with its industrial base in tact and it controlled 50% of the world’s wealth. The downside for America is that it only represented 4% of the world’s population as it still does today. It needed a hammer to make up for its modest population and the the nuclear bomb is the great equalizer. The newly formed USSR quickly realized for its own survival it had to go nuclear and two years later it tested its first bomb— and Cold War One was underway.
As US Justice Robert H. Jackson was presiding over the Nuremberg War Crimes Tribunal, the Dulles brothers were plotting their secret war on the world. As corporate lawyers during the 1930’s they had been instrumental in helping finance Germany’s rise to power.
World War Two as the world’s first corporate war where Western corporations played both sides of the war. Seeing the profits of war spurred America’s lust for global hegemony and the Military Industrial Congressional Complex(MICC) came into being, as Dwight Eisenhower warned in his Farewell Speech of 1960.
“As we peer into society's future, we – you and I, and our government – must avoid the impulse to live only for today, plundering for our own ease and convenience the precious resources of tomorrow. We cannot mortgage the material assets of our grandchildren without risking the loss also of their political and spiritual heritage. We want democracy to survive for all generations to come, not to become the insolvent phantom of tomorrow”.—Dwight D, Eisenhower Farewell speech
The history of the nuclear age is long and sorted, but America’s obsession with the nuclear nightmare was once again demonstrated when Barack Obama signed a one trillion dollar bill in 2017 before leaving office for the further development and modernization of its nuclear arsenal projected to take place over a thirty year period. This was the same president who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize (2009), even though he had already authorized more drone assassinations than any other president.

Perpetual war is the definitive ideology for America. Their commitment to nuclear weaponry is the cornerstone of their imperial ambitions and another example of the triumph of ideology over common sense. Civilizations lacking common sense impose this nightmare on themselves and others, and are doomed to failure.
America is suffering a chronic case of megalomania that has run unchecked for too long. It is very deeply embedded in its political psyche. It constitutes an existentialist threat to the world community, and the community must act accordingly. This means open confrontation through diplomatic channels and long over due public and diplomatic censure. Silence is complicity!
Robert...don't you dare keep your mouth shut!!! Many more need to speak up without fear.
