Crazy for war on the wrong side of history

America has spent the last seventy-five years waging war on the world. This becomes the very reason we must have a multipolar world where no single nation can prevail above all others.

The USA is holding the world hostage to its delusional dream of establishing global fascism.

“War is always the same. It is young men dying in the fullness of their promise. It is trying to kill a man that you do not even know well enough to hate. Therefore, to know war is to know that there is still madness in this world.”

So wrote Lyndon B. Johnson, of the Vietnam War, in his State of the Union Address in 1966.

Johnson, in saying these words committed Humankind’s greatest hypocrisy. We are quick to start reckless and sociopathic wars and just as quick to lament the loss of human life and social rupture they cause. Over and over we see generations of young men die while leaders refuse to take responsibility for their actions and are more than willing to rewrite history. Leaders grant themselves plausible deniability like the drug addict shooting-up dope to drown out their culpability.

We are in a time where we have been slaves to perpetual war for too long. It is so deeply embedded in our cultures speaking for peace and civility are considered treason: When in fact it is the war mongers who are the traitors as they inflict the social and economic cost of wars on their populations.

Cannibalizing the colonies

To pay for imperial wars the vassal states of the West are being cannibalized. Because of a monstrous miscalculation on the part of NATO Western Europe is an economic waste land and the reverberations will last for decades.

There are 26 million Australians. To pay 360 billion dollars for American made nuclear submarines every man, woman child in Australia is on the hook for 1.4 million dollars as their country becomes an economic cripple catering to imperial wars. Australia, as a continent, is so unfortunate as to be strategically located as a forward operating base for war on China. Just as Europe has served as a forward operating base for war on Russia and has paid the price.

After one year of a war that never should have happened— which could have been prevented with appropriate diplomacy— NATO provoked war and Europe will suffer the economic and social devastation for decades to come.

Canada is buying 88 F-35 jets at cost of 80 billion dollars. The first will not be delivered until 2026 and the last not delivered until 2034. NATO member states in Europe are making similar purchases far out of proportion to what they can afford and what is required for their national defense.

The extravagant spending on jet fighters has been cyclical for generations as the F35JSF is considered a “fifth generation” jet and its sixth generation successor is already on the drawing boards.

Canada is also spending billions on renewing its navy far beyond what is needed for national security and affordability.

Canada’s much venerated medicare system is presently being gutted by the neoliberal drive to privatize everything under the sun and the massive diversion of funds into fighting America’s imperialist wars.

Wars are the sum total of the treachery preceding them, where the seeds are planted decades before and watered and propagated to where war becomes inevitable. They are also the product of global militarism on steroids driven by the imperialist ambitions of the USA and the need for other countries to defend themselves against this wanton systemic belligerence.

The acquisition of weaponry has become a global extortion racket where trillions of dollars needed elsewhere are pissed down the sewer so that psychopathic elites can buy more yachts and retreat into their gilded bunkers as post-modern troglodytes.

Where we constantly prepare for war it becomes inevitable and we are enslaved to it.

The war on truth

In the annals of history there have never been wars so dependent on massive propaganda. In WW II the enemy was easily identifiable, the battle lines easily drawn. Now the landscape has been clouded by decades of perpetual war, endless militarism, race baiting, scapegoating, and the collapse of both democracy and freedom of the press in the West. We are in the era of hybrid wars where everything that can be is weaponized. The sophistication and lethality of weaponry has never been greater.

The age of information has become the age of perception management where the Western Media is flagrantly Orwellian as the voice of Big Brother with too many delusional followers.

The culture of perpetual war is now global with the potential to envelope us all from pole to pole. Never has warfare been more Pyrrhic and never have absolute historic truths been so blatantly crushed out of existence in our suicidal rush to the abyss.

History as the whistleblower

To wage wars in these times the first requirement is to slander history out of existence. History exists as the greatest whistleblower of all. It is the witness box ongoing. Its voice, like freedom of speech, freedom of the press and democracy must be under lock and key. Loyalties, must be bought and paid for through graft, corruption, coercion and assassination.

But in this complex, integrated, globalized world suppressing history and its truths— and the journalists world wide who insist on speaking the truth— serves only to amplify the lies being told. In times past tyrants only had to burn books and conduct putsches. Now the lies of empires are persistently revealed in too many ways from too many sources. Especially so when their arrogance and audacity is self-incrimination, along with blowing up countries and pipelines on a regular basis.

America vs the essential Multipolar World now emergent.

When history is erased with lies and propaganda the world we cherish is under grave threat.

Fundamental to the present world crisis is that the USA sees the world as a battle between good and evil, and it has ordained itself a force for good and a force for democracy; when in fact it is contemptuous of both. As a warfare state it sustains power through violence and coercion. It sees war as the as the arbiter of absolute power and has become addicted to perpetual warfare to serve its hegemonic ambitions. It projects it own corrupt values China and Russia who are not warfare states by definition, and not imperialist by nature. Both have been targets of Western imperialism over hundreds of years.

Having been racked by wars and revolutions they seek peace and reconciliation of differences through diplomacy and reciprocity which both are now practicing as they lead the way to the essential multipolar world.

In 1991 the USSR collapsed. It was a pivotal moment in world history. The Cold War was over and there was a huge peace dividend for harvesting. It was not to be as the USA saw this as another victory for them—just as they claimed to be the victors of WW II—even though that victory belonged to Russia more than any other nation.

As the world’s remaining superpower it seized the opportunity to pursue with renewed vigor complete global hegemony. It immediately passed new doctrines and manifestos directed at global domination: The Bush Doctrine, The Wolfowitz Doctrine, The Program for a New America Century(PNAC) and Full Spectrum Dominance(FSD). Key to these documents was the concept of preemptive war— no nation would be allowed to challenge US global supremacy, economically or militarily. They were an expression of Washington’s drunken triumphalism but also a declaration of war on the world— “You are either with us or against us”—George Bush Jr.

The USA spent the last half of the 20th century indulging in perpetual wars, violence and interventions disqualifying it as a candidate for global leadership. It has shown by its wanton lawlessness and violence why a multipolar world is so urgently needed as a countervail to rogue nations that refuse to work cooperatively and democratically with other nations at a time in world history where this is essential and not an option.

China and Russia are showing great forbearance in being the essential countervail and trying to avoid out right war where everybody looses.

There are those who claim this is not WW III, but Cold War II. This is but another deception.

This is the global war of multipolarity vs unipolarity where every country is a stakeholder.

It should be of concern we are in our third world war in just over a hundred years— where each war feeds on the reverberations of the previous war.

Western populations abandoned to the empire’s wars

Nothing written above is new or original. It has all been said or written by others, especially America’s own historians and journalists, a thousand times over. Google is the search engine I use on a daily basis. Wikipedia and Amazon.ca are unpaid contributing editors. I also have dedicated volunteer foreign correspondents in Hong Kong and Switzerland.

When empires come into being they can only be sustained by lies, deceptions and hypocrisies. The tyrants of empires usurp their country’s history in order to pursue their imperial agendas. They must also become cultures of violence and race baiting; constantly vilifying and scapegoating their designated “enemies”.

When empires come into being those who speak the truth become the dissidents of their society and are marginalized by the empire’s insurrectionist agenda - Just as John F. Kennedy, Dr. Martin Luther King and so many others were marginalized and sacrificed. The history of the USA of the last 80 years has been the subversion of duly elected democratic governments by those pursuing empire.

In his farewell speech of 1961 US President Dwight Eisenhower warned of the dark forces gathering momentum within government, now they rule government driving their country and the world to the brink of total collapse.

Populations of the West should be outraged as our quisling elites have abandoned us in favor of the empire’s delusional ambitions.

My beloved Canada as a foot note to history

Canada is a country mandated to deliver peace, order and good government. Like too many other Western pseudo-democracies it has lapsed into being a power monkey and slave to the empires endless wars. Our national legislature is in total collapse mesmerized by the drums of war. The voices for peace and civility are silent. Intellectual and moral disgrace hang heavy in dark halls of total abdication to war.

A young country that should be capable of the “Middle Way”, making progressive and proactive contributions to a better more just world allows itself to be bought off as a pathetic lapdog to the gods of war.
